Remote does not work. I have changed batteries twice - yet remote has red light with no response from the TV. Thanks

You can test the remote control using a camera to see if the remote is transmitting the IR signal. Place the remote control in front of camera and press any button, once you press the buttons you should see the LED on the remote emitting a light but that is only visible on the camera. If no light is visible, then the remote control is defective.. If light is light is present, then is IR receiver on the TV is defective.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

My remote control has suddenly stopped working. I have changed batteries so not that. the no. on the remote is NB619. Do you know where I can buy another remote please?

Did you check the LED sensor it is similar to a small bulb you can check it without removing it in the pcb by using a camera or a cellphone with a camera. Point the sensor in the camera then try to press any buttons then look at the monitor you will see a red light that glows if not your led sensor is defective try to replace it. Do not throw your original remote because it is hard to find a compatible remote control for your unit. Universal remote control has limited function not like the original.

T.v. does not respond to remote control, but does work maually from side buttons

Turn tv on manually.Test the remote control all functions are dead or some functions work other don't?Tries take the remote control parts and clean the inner rubbers buttons between the rubbers insulater and the remote circuitries board and the battery connections + - connections with some rubbing alchahol. Then wait awhile like 20 mins and putting it back together again and putting in new battery in the remote,it might work again. If getting the same result than the remote CPU chip is probally dead, remote control devices are very depended on it CPU chip.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote for the replacement.

My sky remote control has stopped working..i have rebooted the sky box and it still and put new batteries in and it still wont work

an easy way to check if a signal is coming out of your handset is to look at the end that you normally point to the sky box through a video camera or a mobile phone camera. these devices can view a much greater range of frequencies than the human eye so when trying to view infrared it looks like a normal white light through a camera. view the end of the remote thru the video camera and press a button like the volume on the remote as this will give a constant stream of data out of the handset. if no light is seen the remote is goosed. hope this helps

My remote wont do anything and I cant eve turn the tv off manual help

OF COURSE, THE OBVIOUS IS TO CHECK AND/OR REPLACE THE BATTERIES. SECONDLY, AND THIS IS A GOOD LITTLE 'TRICK' TO REMEMBER,AS IT IS A GOOD WAY TO TEST ANY REMOTE [I.R.- INFRA-RED] IS TO TAKE A DIGITAL CAMERA, EVEN A CELL PHONE CAMERA, AND AIM IT AT THE FRONT OF YOUR REMOTE. THEN PRESS THE POWER, OR ALMOST ANY BUTTON, AND OBSERVE THE VIEWFINDER OF YOUR CAMERA. YOU SHOULD SEE WHITE, PROBABLY RAPIDLY FLASHING LIGHT ON THE CAMERA. DIGITAL CAMERAS AND CELL PHONE CAMERAS USE A C.C.D. SENSOR, WHICH IS HIGHLY SENSITIVE TO INFRA-RED LIGHT, INVISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE. IF YOU SEE NOTHING, THE REMOTE IS MOST LIKELY DEFECTIVE. IF YOU DO SEE LIGHT, THERE'S STILL A SLIGHT POSSIBILITY THE REMOTE IS BAD, AS IT HAS TO OPERATE AT THE CORRECT FREQUENCY. THIS TYPE OF FAILURE IS NOT VERY COMMON, AND USUALLY OCCURS IN OLDER REMOTES THAT HAVE A QUARTZ CRYSTAL TO CONTROL THE FREQUENCY, AND USUALLY OCCURE WHEN THE REMOTE IS DROPPED. ANYWAY, IF THE REMOTE IS IN FACT DEFECTIVE, THERE ARE MANY UNIVERSAL REMOTES AVAILABLE RATHER CHEAPLY. IF YOU DO BUY A NEW REMOTE, TRY TO SEE IF YOUR SET IS LISTED, AND CHECK THE STORE'S RETURN POLOCY, JUST IN CASE THE REMOTE IS'NT THE PROBLEM.

Replace remote control unit model ar-fb2

If your remote control have display but cannot transmit signal to the unit. Confirm first if the remote is really the problem, using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes point the remote transmitter to your camera and "on" the remote. You should see light emits in your remote control, if no emitted light then the remote control is defective. But if there is a light the defect is in the unit receiver.

Check also if there is a reset or rst button in your remote control and reset it and try.

Check also if there are error codes in the unit, reset the unit by disconnecting the power supply in the unit for 10 sec. and "on" again and try.

The unit can be operate without remote control, use the manual button located in the unit.

If the remote control have no display replacement of remote is recommended.

Try also to locate the reset or rst button on the remote control if available and reset it, then try. If it wont work may be the receiver board in the unit is defective.

My remote is powering up but will not operate. I have changed the batteries

Check your remote control using a camera or cellphone camera as your eyes. Point the remote control transmitter to the camera and "on " the remote control. A light should emit in the remote control. If no light is present then the remote is not transmitting or defective. But if the remote emits light then the indoor receiver is defective. And try also the reset or rst button if available in your remote control, just press it and try the remote.

Remote operation of ceiling fan NOT working.

Try to check the remote control by using camera or cell camera, just use it as your eyes to see if the remote control emits signal. Just point your remote control to the camera and "on" then check if the remote control emits light, if no emitted lights means defective remote but if emit lights then the receiver is defective . Try also to locate if there are any reset or rst button on the remote control and press it then test.

Remote control

First you have confirm what really the defects is, is it the remote control or the control board.

HOW TO CHECK THE DEFECTIVE REMOTE CONTROL:
Check if the remote control if still good, using the camera of your cellphone point remote control to the cellphone camera and press the "on" button of your remote and you can see the light emitting from your remote control transmitter. If the lights emits that means your remote control is good, if not means the remote control is defective. If the remote emits light it means that the receiver at the control board in the indoor unit is defective.
