Hi, i have had this occur before, if you contact westpack asap they will audit the atm ( usually takes a few days) if it happened in a store its worth talking to the store manager and ensuring the cctv is saved that shows you using the atm and not taking any money ( just encase west pack give you grief)
there is one down side that it will take a few days to resolve they wont credit it back or provide and instant resolution till they audit the atm, also if your not a westpac customer then let you bank know as well but its the bank that owns the atm that will audit it,
here is there atm security team number
Call 1800 022 022 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) for any ATM enquiries and service difficulties.
