AC LED blinks 5 times, then 2, then 1 and keeps repeating this pattern. This happens when I press the power button. Then I need to pull the power cable and the battery to clear the blinking LED.

Hi,

The middle blue led is the charging indicator, sounds like you have (at least) a bad battery, remove it, plug in AC and try again, if no good, remove the HD and repeat, if no good, remove/replace the ram and repeat, if still no good, your mainboard is cooked.

Thanks,

Adam.

Alarm lights keep blinking after I changed my printer ink.

E5 means cartridges error - to fix press the "stop\reset" button for 5-7 seconds and then release it.

You can also try this:

1) With the printer power turned off but connected to a power source, while pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press and hold the Power button.
(DO NOT release the buttons. The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (DO NOT release the Power button.)

3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 2 times, and then release both the Power and
Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light
alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.)

4) When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the specified number of time(s)according to the function listed in the table below. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and
Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.)

Need code for programing

Manual is available at One For All here

http://www.oneforall.com/uploads/support/6c8b036cd3ba3806d00e5a1c57409ef0.pdf

To set up remote

1. Turn on TV.
2. On remote press TV key once.
3. Press and hold Set button until LED blinks twice
4. Enter first 4 digit code for your TV manufacturer from the manual above (P.18). LED blinks twice if code has been entered correctly, if not go to 2.
5. Press Power and the TV should switch off, if the TV doesn't switch off go to step 2 and repeat with next code for your brand until TV does turn off.

Searching for code

1. Perform steps 1 to 3 as above.
2. Enter the code 991. LED will blink twice.
3. Press Power button.

4. If TV turns off
Press Set - LED will blink twice.
If TV doesn't turn off
Press TV button and go to repeat step 3 and 4, until TV does turn off.

Check a code.

If you've used the search function you might want to know what the code is to do this...

1. Perform steps 1 to 3 from set up remote at the top.
2. Enter code 990, LED will blink twice.
3. For the first code press 1. Wait 3 seconds and count the times the LED blinks, that is your first digit, if the LED doesn't blink that is 0.
4. Repeat step 3 for remainder codes, pressing 2 for second digit, 3 for third and 4 for fourth.

It doesn't state in the manual how to get out of this mode but normally it is either leave the remote alone for 5 minutes, or press any other button other than 1 to 4.

I have the radion shack hdtv remote. Cat no

Download the manual and codes from here

http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/dl.cgi?file=others/radio_shack/15135-manual.zip&area=other

Here is how to set the code...

1. Turn TV on
2. Press TV button on remote
3. Hold P button on remote until LED blinks twice
4. Enter the first 5 digit code for Magnavox TV's
5. Press Power button - TV should turn off. If TV doesn't turn off repeat steps 2-5 with the next 5 digit code, until either TV goes off or run out of codes.
6. If out of codes use searching for code method below...

TV codes for Magnavox

10047, 11454, 10054, 10154, 10000, 10250, 10051, 10180, 10060, 10030, 10171, 10092, 10706, 11913, 11904, 11755, 10019, 11365, 11254, 10802, 10386, 10282, 10020, 10187, 10186, 10024, 10179, 10096

Searching for code

1. Turn on TV.
2. Press TV button on remote
3. Press and hold P button until LED blinks twice
4. Enter code 991 on remote - LED blinks twice
5. Press 1 - Device key blinks twice
6. Press Power button once
7. Press and release CH+ key until TV turns off.

At this point in the manual, the manual is only correct depending on what type of TV you have.

In the manual if you press the Power on button the TV should turn itself back on, the fail to state that not all TV's turn on by the power button, the majority now are triggered to turn on, on channel change, however you can't use channel change here to check it as you'll go to the next code... here is my solution...

8. Turn TV back on either using original TV remote, or buttons on front (most TV's if you change channels they come back out of standby mode, very few now turn on by pressing the power button).

9. Press Power button on remote - TV should turn itself off again.
10. Press P button on remote to lock in that code.

If the device does not turn off press CH- to go back through the codes, press and release P button when TV turns off.

Finding code

If you used the search function you might want to know what code it's using. To do this follow these instructions...

1. Press TV button
2. Press and hold P until LED blinks twice
3. Enter 990 and LED blinks twice
4. Press 1 and count number of times LED blinks this is the first digit of your code (e.g. 1 blink = 1, 2 blinks = 2, etc).
5. Repeat step 4 pressing buttons 2 - 5 for the other digits (e.g. for the second digit press 2 count number of blinks.. etc)

At this point the manual doesn't tell you how to get out of this mode, I presume pressing any other button on the remote other than 1-5 will take you out of this mode, either that or leaving the remote alone for 5 minutes.

Enter codes for remote R55L8-RCR4358

There are 4 ways to program your remote:
-Brand Code search and entry
-Direct code entry
-Manual Code search and entry
-Auto Code search and entry
*ON TV/VCR(DVD) combos you must program each button individually and that button(ie. TV or VCR/DVD) will program that part of your device.

1.hold down the DVD-VCR button-->the red led will stay lit.
2.while holding down the DVD-VCR button press the number 2 --> the red led will turn off
3.Release the DVD-VCR button--> the red led blinks 4 times and turns off
4.The DVD-VCR button is now set to VCR mode-->program for VCR

BRAND CODE SEARCH ENTRY:
1. turn on device
2. locate brand codes(sorry, I don't have it, try finding genaric RCA codes)
3. hold down the component button--> led should stay on
4. while holding component button, also hold power button--> the led will turn off, then after 3 seconds it will turn back on.
5. release both buttons--> led will stay on
6. enter brand code--> led blinks once
7. press power button repeatedly until component turns off-->each time you press the power key the remote sends a different code for that brand. led blinks once
8. if power on your device turns off press the stop button to save configuration-> led turns off
9. if the led blinks 4 times and turns off, you have reached the end of the codes for that brand, try using a different method to program your device.

DIRECT CODE ENTRY:
1. turn on the device
2. locate your device codes
3. hold component key down-->led lights up and stays lit
4. enter code while holding components key--> as first key is pressed the led turn off, then as 4th digit of key is pressed the led turns back on
5. release component key-->led turns off, try using your remote, if it doesn't have all of the functions you need, try a different code
6. if the led blinks 4 times after entering code you have entered an invalid code, try again.

MANUAL SEARCH AND ENTRY:
1. turn on device
2. hold the component button--> led lights up and stays lit
3. while holding component button hold power button-> led turns off then turns back on after 3 seconds
4. release both buttons--> led stays lit
5. push the power button a bunch of times until the device shuts off-> each time the power button is pressed a different code is sent to the device, the led blinks each time.
6. if the device turns off press the stop button to save your config.
7. if the led blinks 4 times you have reached the end of the code list, there are hundreds of codes, you may be pressing the power button for a while...

AUTO CODE SEARCH AND ENTRY:
1. repeat steps 1-4 of "manual search and entry"
2. press the "play" button--> led blinks 10 times, sending a code each time
3. continue pressing the play button until the device turns off
4. if the device turns off press the reverse key to until it turns back on then press the stop key to save config.
5. if the led blinks 4 times you have run out of codes, try a different method.
Now if someone would please post the codes, or if someone knows the code for a durabrand DVD-1002...

PROBLEM COPYING WITH MY ALL- IN- ONE

This message is inbuilt into most Canon printers, there is spongy thing in the printer which when fills up fires the message (it's mostly a counter in the printer, which can be reset more later...), per Canon this can only be dealt with in a lab but some of the more adventurous have tried cleaning it by themselves. Note that in a lab they won't clean it, it's a part that needs replacing and it might cost around $60. In most Canon printers there is a reset procedure that can reset the error and allow you to print some more before handling it again. Following are the reset procedures for some of the Printers: (not that F60 isn't listed here) Canon GENERIC "S" SERIES RESET CODE Waste Ink Counter Reset. (1) Turn off the printer. (2) Press and hold the RESUME button, then press and hold the POWER button. (3) Release the RESUME button, Next press and release the RESUME button two(2) more times in succession. Note: you are still holding the POWER button). The printer's carriage will "reset" or move momentarily. If the above was properly performed the printer will enter the "Service Mode". (4) Press the RESUME button 4 times, this will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will alternate (change) color with each key press. 1. Service/Factory test printout, including ink sensor check. 2. EEPROM - Info printout. 3. EEPROM - Initialization. 4. Reset the Waste ink counter. 5. Printer model setting.
