Didnt specify vehicle--- generic answer- some vehicles brake lights come on when pads are low others when problem with pressure low pedal or leak --which would require repair before driving --other vehicle the brake light is emergency brake is on or malfunction [ you can drive if this is on ]==== need to check and look into brake system--fluid level --pedal pressure --actual inspection of lines and pads for leaks or damage if you decide to move or drive vehicle -----if only abs system could drive since your brake system would revert to normal brakes ----you will need to have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes which will assist in repairs most auto stores offer this service for free

Yes you can still drive but the Anti-Lock Brake system is disabled due to the fault. You need the system scanned for fault codes.

Abslight stays on. How to fix?

Have you recently had any work done to your vehicle, like tires or brakes? Possible a connector for the ABS wasn't re-hooked up. OR there's a short.

Abslight stay on nd emergency light stay on and service brake sysem on dash stayon

check your brake fluid level. most new cars have a sensor that makes the light come on when the level gets low. and on something of that vintage, that is probably a good indicator that your brakes are worn out.

Abslight stays on no brake lights

Fuse 12 (10 Amps) may be burned out. Its located in "Junction Block". Losing
fuse 12 would kill the ABS systems and light the ABS dashboard light.

Fuse 11 (20 Amps) may be out. Its located in "Power Distribution Center". Losing fuse 11
would kill the brake lights, and light the ABS dashboard light. If fuse 11 is blown,
check your (3) brake light sockets for shorts of any type, or fuse 11 will just blow again.

Here's your ABS Indicator Light wiring diagram:

The Abslight came on with the handbrake light while driving and the speedometer went off. The handbrake light is now off but the abs light is still on.thanks,

It would appear that you have either lost a main chassis ground to the firewall or to your instrument cluster. If your brakes don't feel any different than this is most likely the cause of your problem. To find where the ground loss is, all you've got to do is wiggle wires under your dash near the rear of the instrument panel and under the hood near the firewall. Have someone watching the warning lights during the process and they can inform you of any changes. Thank you, Dana

ABSlight and Brake light come on and off, but

could be, check brake fluid, if you have computer scaned you will be able to pinpoint problem, may be a sensor dirty or going bad, good luck.

Instrument panel not operating

You have a blown fuse. The problem is that there is a cruise control deactivation switch on the master cylinder that gets brake fluid contaminated and shorts out. You will need a new switch and maybe the the connector.
