Looking for a power cord for my Casio PMP-500 keyboard. HELP!

My son who is extremely musically inclined ( he is just teaching himself the guitar, but he has already taught himself the piano and voice) would love for me to brush up on my keyboard skills. But I can't find the power cord to it. Please HELP. I will use any universal power cord but I want to make sure that it WILL fit and bring me that sweet sound of music.

Make sure it is compatible. Match the voltage and amperage on the keyboard with the power cord's specs. If you don't, you may damage the keyboard.

Need Casio Keyboard PMP-500 power cord

Appears to require a 12v dc adapter. I have found most generic adapters of sufficient capacity (meaning what is posted usually on keyboard i.e. 1amp or whatever) wired to proper polarity will work fine.

I lost my adapter to my keyboard and I need to find either a substitute or a new way to turn it on without the adapter, HELP!!!.

Some Casio Keyboards use 9V DC (center negative) others 12V DC (center negative).
If check what voltage your Keyboard use. Generic AC adapters are usually center positive. So you have to invert the wire with a new DC plug to make it center negative,
Easiest is to buy a Casio ac adapter made for your keyboard from a Casio retailer.

It wont power up

Do You use original CASIO power adapter for this keyboard?
Some CASIO (CTK-5000) models require inverse voltage polarity than most of others adapters have!!! RISC OF BURNING OUT ELECTRONICS!!!

Keyboard not powering up. Want to change the fuse/s. Don't know where fuse is located.

There probably is NOT a fuse and usual cause is problem with the adapter or the power connectors. Broken solder of the connector in the keyboard is common. Broken cords on the adapter is common as well.

My CASIO ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD CTK 4000 suddenly it stop working. When I press power button lcd window will light up briefly and turn back off. Please I need some help. Thanks

If you have a 12v power cord going to it i would try giving it a gentle wiggle. If you find a sweet spot and the keyboard stays on then you have a broken solder joint on the 12v input.

I have a ctk-671 and the power cord has been brooker and the back plate has come off and I don't know where or what to ask for to replace it

Sir, This jack installs on most Casio keyboards to replace broken ones-a common problem. Often the broken jacks have the center connection pin ripped out or loose when the power cord cable has been pulled with a vacuum cleaner or yanked by a pet or child.

A technician is recommended to replace this part on your Casio instrument.

Thanks Good luck
