LG 55LH90-UB LED TV I have an LG 55LH90-UB LED tv that has, what seems to be, sections of dim areas.

The bottom half of the tv is dim, and an area on the upper half about 4 in by 6in wide of dim area as well. From watching some videos, the only things I can come up with is a bad inverter board or bad LED strips. I ordered an inverter board with part # 6917L-0013C which is - i hope - a next revision of the board. It was cheap so no big deal. Any thoughts? The picture doesn't change, and viewing the tv is fine for the most part just dim.

Hi ,
try swapping the screen with another one to just see if it is behaving the same, because some times the screen circuitry or the led screen could be damaged .

good luck buddy

Yea I see that I ordered one for 47" models. Do you think its a board issue or LED light strip issue?

Hi,again. yes it could be a board issue e.g Voltages going to the light strip are wrong . lastly screen has gone bad .

It was the inverter backlight board. Replaced now all is working. Thank you!

This is not an issue with the main board . Its a clear case of faulty LCD controller board or the LCD panel itself is faulty(most likely). I suppose the sound is not affected?

Why did the display of my LG 32LN5300-UB go BLACK?

Even the LG techinician can't give you no more information abut this fault. If you have any doubt; ask them. Poor fellow, you choose this brand TV.

Lg tv does not turn on

The 55lh90 has a vacation switch on the bottom right corner. It's a toggle switch that interrupts power to the power supply. Should just need to toggle that switch to the "on" position, and everything should be back to normal.

Monitor dims when we turn lights off in room.

You need to give a more detailed description of the problem.
The LG 47LH90 is an LED backlit TV with 'local dimming' technology. This means that there are lots of white LEDs behind the screen and these can be controlled in groups to allow localised areas of the screen to be dimmed to produce better contrast between light and dark. It is very likely that when the room is dark, this local dimming is more noticeable. The actual individual LEDs cannot be controlled and so the area that is dimmed will generally be greater than the area that is required to be dark 'blooming effect'. In addition, LED backlit displays only maintain their contrast through a tight viewing angle. If you sit too farto the right or left, then light from non-dimmed LEDs will leak through and the screen will look lighter.
In short, there may not be any fault with your TV.

LG 55LH90 TV to Sherwood RD6500 receiver

That's what manuals are for.

Video Out on the receiver goes to Video In on the TV. That's all you really need.

I recmmend you grab any TV-related audio from wherever its source is for the highest fidelity sound (NOT the TV).
