I have a compact Samsung camera WB350F. When I switch it on it says it is connecting to the computer although it hasn't been asked to do so and it sticks in this mode until I remove the battery.

It is not able to take pics when it is like this but I can't get it to do anything else. Help?

There may be a menu setting you have overlooked.

Unfortunately it will not let me access the menu or any other function. When I turn it on it just says connecting to computer and I can't even turn it off unless I remove the battery

In that case, I'm afraid, you will need to contact either the manufacturer or a repair facility, but be prepared for a hefty bill.

There are a few possible reasons why your camera is behaving in this way. One possibility is that the camera's firmware is malfunctioning, which can cause it to get stuck in a loop trying to connect to a computer. Another possibility is that the camera's USB cable or port is damaged, which can also cause this issue. If the problem persists, it would be best to contact Samsung customer service for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the issue and provide you with a solution.

My computer recognizes my micro sd card when it's in a card reader, but not when it,s in my samsung wb350f camera

For every device you connect to your computer, the computer needs a program and a driver. So insert the CD that came with your Samsung camera, and install the program and driver.
That should solve the problem.
First install, then connect. Don't leave the camera connected while installing.

Would like to view a manual for camera wb350F

When you got the camera out of the box, I hope you manage to put in the battery and the memory card. I hope you bought a SD memory card. See page 24 of the manual.
Then before you do anything connect the USB cable to the AC adapter and the other end in the USB connector on the camera. Page 25
Plug the charger in a wall socket and leave the camera charging for about 3 or 4 hours.
After that, you really have to setup the camera. If you don't understand what page 26 of the manual is explaining, please ask your dealer or someone you know.
Only after you managed to setup, out the main dial to the camera logo. That is the mode to shoot automatic. The camera will do all the settings and in 99,99 % it will give you a good exposed picture. Only need to learn how zo zoom in and out, and you are ready to make all the beautiful pictures you want to make.
