To start with try a master reset, whilst the instrument is off press and hold the top (highest) sounding key whilst turning on.
When the screen displays Yamaha release the top key.
If this doesn't solve the issue then it could be a number of things as the keyboard does a self check on startup and will hang if a fault is found. Check each rubber switch is not stuck down or even missing this can cause this issue. Please report back either way.

Middle D key apparently was jarred loose in transport. It is sticking up and won't return to its original position, and playing the key produces no sound.

Call Yamaha at 714-522-9000 and ask for a tech who works in your area. Attempting self repair could void any garuntee that is covering the problem.

While the blue display is working alright, my yamaha i425 suddenly stopped working. Cannot play the keys anymore..The power adaptor is working fine

Either your key scanning section or the power amplifier has fried.
Try playing the demo song, if the sound can be heard then the scanning section is faulty. You may download the servicemanual from Elektrotanya com and repair the keyboard.

Yamaha YPT-410 When playing the keyboard, the sound cuts out when playing multiple keys, and then begins again only to cut out again. Does not matter which keys. I have done a factory reset and it did not...

It's probably your keyboard. Some keyboards are limited with it's polyponic capabilities. Some can play many notes at one time, some cut out when it reaches it's limits. Check your manual for specifications.

The keys in the middle range of my Yamaha electronic piano P-200 seem to be stuck and are very difficult to play - takes a lot of strength to get any sound. Could humidity be a problem? Could piano...

Although the keys have a weighted feel, this is not because of a system involving connection t hammers as in an acoustic piano. This is done mechanically, however, which would indicate a need for cleaning. If you have an authorized Yamaha service center in you area they would need to do the cleaning.

Yamaha psr 400 give an Er 1 message when switched on and gives no sound when played. The demo works however

Wild guess of possibilities.

1. Internal backup battery exhausted.

2. Button OR key is stuck down, either mechanically or electrically.

Yamaha P-120 Piano: Graded Hammer (NOT key) dysfunction?

My opinion is you should take the instrument to a yamaha authorized service center.. It's doubtful this will be user serviceable, particularly if the problem isn't on all the keys, and the service center will have access to the parts needed as well as more information from Yamaha than they will share with an end user.

Yamaha 88 key piano grand plays wrong pitches w/ changing volume

If it has a sequencer/ recorder built in, you have the ability to change the pitch/ detune by using some key strokes after initiating the program mode. If your not sure how to do that, try unplugging the keyboard for thirty seconds and push the power button while it's unplugged, then plug it back in. Any better? What model is it.
