SOURCE: Getting error code on lg front loader washer
Hello aj546,
Kinda figured there was a miscue there with your error code however... the error code FE refers to the fact that water is overflowing ( normally means the inlet water valve is stuck open and continues to let in water beyond the expected and/or sensed level.. so the water pump turns on to drain it and keep the level down. This kind of problem would probably warrant a aservice call from a tech since the majority of troubleshooting would require diagnosing the failed component itself and is not something that I recommend you try. There are too many pieces of hardware that have a direct impact on how this works and I highly doubt you want to play the shotgun approach..try this to see if it fixes the problem and if not..try that...
Before calling for service.. try this..
remove or disconect ac power from the washer..let it sit unplugged for at least an hour..then try washing 1 towel at the lowest cold water setting to see if that works ..if it does..repeat the process using only hot water.. if that works... then try the same test using warm water.. ( this test may help determine if the water inlet valve .,.either hot or cold is leaking through it)... If you still get the FE test..call for service.. That's the best I can offer via this chanel... BTW..if only one of the two tests fails.. ( Hot water only generates an FE error.. then chances are the hot water inlet solenoid valve assembly is either sticking open or the controls to that are commanding it to remain open... Hope that helped you..'
Regards,
Rick

E10 code indicates there is no water supply. This can be confirmed by :
Check for clean filters of the inlet water line.
Check that the drain hose was assembled as per the manual's instructions.

Hi,
Already answered by an expert :-
This a common problem for all front loaders. Your washer will not drain
or work 'cause your outlet filter is clogged or an unusually heavy
load. The small door is on the left side front bottom of your washer.
Remove the door with a putty knife or thin butter knife inserted in the
middle top of the access panel door. Drain the water from the filter
housing by pulling the tube out of the clip and unplugging, allow it to
run into a bucket while the machine is in spin only mode. This mode is
acheived when the washer is first powered on press the spin button
until no spin is reached then run. Run in this mode until no water is
draining from the tube in the bucket. Keep the tube as low as possible.
When water has stopped coming out of the tube turn off the washer and
unplug from the wall. This step is important because this resets the
fault. Expect some water to come out when you open the filter housing
by turning counterclockwise until you can pull the filter from its
housing. Clean out your filter, return to housing turning clockwise
until seated and recap the tube and place in the holder, refit the
cover and plug back into the wall. Fixed. You may also need to lighten
the load a bit but I always try full on load anyways. If it fails again
just lighten, unplug wait >1 minute then replug and run.
Thanks.
SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire Gallery front load washer with E10 error code
When ours does that it is because of the hard water build up. We have to un-hook the hot water clean out the minerals and it stops doing it.
Hello paversa971 - Are you certain the error code is E12? This manufacturer does not have any E12 error code for washers. Could it possibly be E10 or E11? If so, washer may be experiencing a water fill issue.
