in my zte phone the phone settings menu has a category labeled storage where you can mount, unmount sd card, get information on phone memory storage and sd card card storage volume used and volume available. It also has a button to select your default storage pathway, phone or sd card. Hope this helps you.
That is kind of an entry level phone. You better stick with a 8Gb or max 16Gb micro SD. When the card fills up, the device slows down and that is a pain. So, try to get a class-10 micro SD if you can.
