Washer won't complete spin cycle

My machine won't complete the spin cycle. I have adjusted the feet and. made sure it is level . The machine begins to rock during the spin cycle and stops. It then starts again and stops. I have adjusted load size and nothing seems to fix the problem. Clothes are coming out too wet. Any suggestions?

Washer counts down to 8 minutes remaining and then gets stuck because it is unable to get into the really fast spin cycle

Washer does not complete spin cycle, Stops at 9 min and makes noises like its pumping out he water but no spin.
The machine does not always start in some modes especially if you change the water temp.

Clothes still wet after completion of cycle

Also The pre select programs appear to give the wrong set up. For instance "delicates" shows "high heat" and "high spin". Surely this can not be correct.

I've read the manuals including "troubleshooting" but no reference to these problems. Scoured the Internet without any results. Am now considering calling a ervice expert in.

Try pushing down lightly on the lid and see if the spin cycle starts back up. On mine, the same thing happened because the small plastic pin attached to the lid was just barely long enough to push the switch that tells the washer that the lid is closed. The spin cycle will only run when that switch is pushed, i.e., when the washer thinks the lid is closed.

SOURCE: Can you adjust the water level on the LG Tromm WM1814CW?

No. Water level is not user adjustable. The washer will automatically put in the correct amount (about 3 inches in the bottom of the tub) and adjust for load size and type. This level is all that is needed. The reason the clothes are hardly wet at the end of the cycle is due to the high spin speed (compared to almost all top loading machines). If you want to see how wet the clothes really are, pause the machine mid cycle and the door will unlock and you can see, or select a "no spin" option and see at the end of that cycle. You will use about 12 gallons of water for a large load, vs. about 45 for a top loading machine, so remember to adjust your soap and fabric softener use accordingly. ( one tablespoon detergent and one teaspoon fabric softener maximum per load)

SOURCE: Machine won't rinse or spin properly..also stinks!

The clothes are wet after spinning When the clothes are wet at the end of a cycle, check these:

Motor coupler
Spin cycle
Siphoning
Water-inlet valve
Motor coupler To test the motor coupler, re-start the washer in its spin cycle. Let the machine run for a minute, and then open the lid and notice whether the tub is spinning:

  • If it's spinning when you lift the lid, the coupler is fine.

  • If it isn't spinning--and your machine was produced by Whirlpool®--you may have a broken coupler. Many Whirlpool-made washers use a small, relatively inexpensive device called a motor coupling. This plastic-and-rubber component is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. When that happens, you need to replace it completely.

Spin cycle If the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt (Maytag®), a worn clutch (GE®/Hotpoint®), or a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Replace the applicable component.

Alternatively, there could be clothes caught between the inner and outer tubs. Read the "It spins but won't pump" section of the "It won't drain" section. Also, there could be other things that cause friction on the drive train. Seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician.

Siphoning If the water that pumps from the machine goes right back into the machine after the spin cycle, it may be because your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry tub with a slow drain, back into the washer. Try to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is there something stuck in the drain?) Also, be sure the drain hose doesn't reach more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub. If it does, cut off the excess.

Water-inlet valve Water-inlet valves eventually fail. One problem that may develop with a water-inlet valve is that it can no longer completely shut off when the electricity is turned off to it. Then, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub--you may notice that your washer has water in it when you haven't used it for a few days. To fix this, replace the valve.

Water will not drain out of front Load Kenmore 44072

Kenmore front loading washing machines will give you years of service. Sometimes things do go wrong, especially after the warranty runs out. Troubleshooting a Kenmore front loading washing machine could save you a lot of money on a repair bill. Before you call a service technician to fix your machine, attempt to resolve the issue through simple fixes first.
Washer Code Messages Your Kenmore front loading washing machine has an LED display that will give you error codes.
Will Not Spin If your washing machine does not spin, check to make sure the door has latched completely. Also remember that if your machine is in the SUD cycle it will not spin until it has eliminated the suds.
Washer Is Noisy
  • If the washer is making noise or vibrating, check to make sure it is still level. If it is out of level you can change this by adjusting the feet. Metal belt buckles and buttons in your laundry could be causing the noise as well.
  • Door Stays Locked After Cycle
  • At the end of the wash cycle, the lock will disengage after about 30 seconds. If it does not, it may be because the machine still detects that the water has not completely drained. Just select "Drain" and "Spin" and let the washer go through the cycle. Your door should unlock.

Perfect level sounds very strange

Check the leveling feet on your machine. With the machine turned off, and with a small carpenter's level, check to make sure the machine is level front to back and side to side. Then give the machine a shake in each direction to make sure that the feet (which are adjustable). If the machine wobbles-even a little bit- adjust the feet until all 4 feet are in contact with the floor and the machine fails to wobble when pushed.
Rerun a load and see if the machine has stopped sending morse code...
you can also make sure that the fill hoses aren't banging into the machine or the wall during the cycle.
let me know if you have success!

My Bosh washing machine has excessive vibration according the the level i put on the top of the washer it is level, but still seems to walk accross the floor on the final spin cycle.

it may be level but if the feet are not adjusted to be tight to the floor this will cause it to walk so try adjusting the feet then lock the locking nut I am sure you will find 2 that are not adjusted tight enough.

LG WM0532HM is level but make my house vibrate Can anyone help?

Put 5 or 6 bath towels on a quick wash cycle.
During the spin cycle adjust the feet on the washer to smooth out the vibrations. Some times you only have to adjust one foot on the front to make a big difference.
If you have a pedastal snug up the washer feet to the pedastal then proceed above.

The washer came with a flat silver wrench to adjust the feet.

My Neptune washer (brand new) "walks the floor" during the spin cycle. How do I correct this?

Try to get it completely level and with all four feet firmly on the floor. If it's resting on three feet and/or not level then this is what will happen. The feet should be threaded so you can adjust them easily.

On the spin cycle my miele walks acrossed the floor

make sure you loads are balanced, put heaviest clothes in first... if you can rock it by hand then the legs are not adjusted properly. If you stand 2 feet away from front of machine, jump up and down and see it move the floor is soft and you need 2 sheets of plywood to make 1 1/2 inches put under the machine

Why does my EPIC z walks during spin cycle even after I used the rubber pads? It moves from the right back corner out to the left.

Make sure that the leveling feet are secure with the jamb nut tight against the BODY of the washer. If not, the washer could walk during spin. Make sure that washer is flat level front to back and side to side with a 24" level. Just set the level on the top near the front and then on both sides as well. Adjust the feet and jamb nuts so that they are as low as possible. If washer is on a stand, remove drawer to adjust feet. Also, if on stands, washer will vibrate more due to increased height and natural flexion of stand. What kind of flooring? If ceramic tile, rubber feet may not couple to surface and provide enough friction to stay in place. I have had success with......I know it might sound stupid.....but buy a couple rubber jar opener pads and cut them into small pads. Put them under the rubber feet of stand or washer. These seem to make a better connection to the floor.
