SOURCE: I have a Behringer PMP

There are NO "yellow" overload LED's period. The clip or overload RED LED's are just above the PFL buttons for selecting a solo channel. There are "yellow" signal received lights (level set) up near the trim controls. In normal operation these will light when signal is received. Here is schematic for the PMP5000 which is really identical for the 6000.
http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_europower-p0569_hca2400_sps1000_dpx_pmp-1280s_5000_sch.pdf/download.html This has part of the DSP and PS and the PA circuits.
Scroll down to "get manual" and click on it to download. Ignore other download links on the page.
Try turning off the Phantom power if it might be on... If that stops the hum, something is the matter with the bypasses feeding Phantom power to those channels... Possible problem might be shorting of one of the coupling caps at the preamp input. The PMH5000 drawings are more accurate at the input circuits. You will note that the level set LED's are the yellows, and the clip/PFL LED's are the red ones. I suspect that RF bypass caps such as C110 or C121 (example typical for channel one) might be shorted. This makes noise on the Phantom power line unbalanced and will get into the channel where one of these caps is shorted. Do a test: Plug a shorting jack that shorts the tip to the sleeve intot he inssert for the channel. With the LOW CUT button up, observe is the level set LED for that channel dims or goes out. If it does, then I supect you have a shorted RF bypass cap at the input..The next test involves driving a KNOWN balanced signal into the XLR jack and using a TRS in tthe inout 1/4 inch, test the levels with an oscilloscope to verify the hot and the return have equal amplitudes. I they don't, congratualtions you have to tear the main board out... lots of knobs and screws to access the inout circuits and verifuy the cause... it could ALSO be a bad transistor in the inout pair, etc...

BEHRINGER K3000FX will not power on

It may be likely that you've blown a fuse. This will require removal of the amplifier unit from the housing. The fuse is a 100-120 V~: 6.3 A H 250 V. You should be able to find this in most places. If the fuse is not blown, then the unit must be sent in for servicing.

I have a behringer eurolive b212d no power no lights on when I push the button I hear a clike in the speaker but no power. tested the fuse its ok. could there be a fuse inside the power unit .any help...

Hello,

Eurolive Active speakers from Behringer suffers of bad power supply/Amp design, if you open up the back of your speaker you will probably find that the AC connector has a burnt or loose connection as well as a black spot, if not, check the power supply/power amp coils for cracked connections, let me know for improve help.

I am thinking of buying a pmp 5000 from a musician and he said th fuse blew. it wont power up and he said everything went off all at once and wouldnt power back up! he had 3 sets of speakers hooked up and...

No! I have two of the PMP5000 and one PMP3000.

I could tell you what parts are blown. If nothing lights up what has happened is the power amp (Usually the rearmost amp) has arced and destroyed the three switching transistors and a Zener diode and sometimes a metering resistor and two surface mounted transistors. So far parts cost is about $20 and a LOT of labor.

Since the fuse blew, it is possible as is often the case, that the power supply is also damaged. Now the total parts cost is $50 as two expensive IGBT's are blown, a regulator IC and four driver transistors for the IGBT's and one other surface mounted transistor and usually a diode. If a fuse has been repalced, then often a pair of power resistors associated with softstart are blown. A lot of labor is necessary on the power supply to remove the heatsinks that the IGBT's are on to replace them.

If the amp module (HCA2400) were the only thing, you can get those online complete for $175. Repair of those requires a lot of skill carving out burned board between layers of the multilayer board and restoring connections with jumpers.

You are probably looking at $300 parts and labor to restore this unit. I fix them for my own use, not others.

There is a weakness in insulation between internal and external layer of the circuit board near the rearmost amp and if you play it real load and had a speaker lead come loose the unit can arc and it is all over. There is also a polarity hazard. PLEASE read my tip on here in that regard about this. This applies to the PMP3000, PMP5000, PMP1280 amps.

I have Behringer pmp 2000 mixer but it burned my fuse. How can I buy it?

If the fuse blew do NOT replace it till the unit is serviced or you will burn up more components. These units will blow out from a minimum of three to 30 components when they blow.

There is weak insulation between layers of the power amp circuit board and the arcing destroys a minimum of three transistors and often many more components on the power supply board as well.

I have repaired several of these and it is a lot of work. The power amp module can be had for about $175 but it often takes out the power supply as well.

Pmp3000 problem power supply.ic circuit problem.number series ic circiut..

I have a PMP5000 that I had to resurect. I had to trace out the power supply to repair it.

I can give you hint: First, a small supply runs directely from the line and generates some of the small voltages. While this starts, the main power caps are charged through limiting resistors. The main switcher is brought online and if the power amps acheive balance, then a relay connects the speakers and shorts the limiting resistors.

This is what is in the 5000 and I suspect the 3000 is similar.

In my 5000, there was arcing at one side of the power amps. The board was burned and three power fets fried. Cancer of burned board had to be carved out and traces replaced by hardwiring.
In addition, the limiting resistors were blown open, both main switching transistors were blown and 4 small driver transistors (surface mounted) and several diodes AND a switching regulator chip (surface mounted).all fried/

Hint: When restarting the unit, put a 150 watt light in series with one of side of the power input to limit the current in case you did not get all the dead bodies out.

This is a class "D" amp which drives PCM waves into a filter which is then the audio output. It is much more efficient thaan a linear amp.

Got a 5000 euro power the output module has gone i think as it turns of after 2 seconds can you get a replacement part copy

I had to repair mine. An arc had occured between circuit traces and a heatsink in the power amp and that took out a half dozen transistors, a switching regulator chip, two power resistors, diodes. The parts are all available BUT you must be very careful to weed out ALL the bad ones.

AFTER repair, put a 150 wat light bulb in series when powering up to avoid damage IF there still is a bad component in the circuit.

After cutting out the damaged board and replacing the parts it is all working again.

I had to trace out some of the circuit to troubleshoot as Behringer won't give out schematics.

The amplifier in this is a class "D" switching type. Be very careful of running the unit if the speakers are not connected.
