Mitsubishi LT-52244 TV Logo
Posted on Jul 26, 2009

Green band 18 month old Mitsubishi LT-52133 has 1.5 inch wide vertical green band on left edge of screen. Band goes from top to bottom of screen. More pronounced in HD mode - edge of green band changes as the color of picture programming cross the line. Sometimes the color at the edge of the green band turns bright red. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris

White band from top yo bottom of screen

Good luck with this. If it is under warranty, Sharp will take forever to do anything about it. I had this issue and Sharp wanted pictures of the problem, Pictures of the serial and model number and the receipt. I sent it to them 6 months ago and never heard anything back. If it is not under warranty, this is a major repair and it may cost more than a new television.

Disney princess tv suddenly narrowed the visible part of the screen. Now everything is squished into a two in wide band with all the rest of the screen is black.

if that 2 band according to you from top to bottom,it has a defective vertical stage.if this two band appears one on top and one at the bottom,it`s on vertical stage.leaky capacitors, resistance changed or resistor devalued ang ic`s, are too weak to amplify a signal to make the screen complete....

White Band On Screen - Remove It!

if a white band is seen---go to a blank or unused video input and examine the screen---both sides---if it is seen on both (even if more so on one side) you may have burned the screen by using the 4x3 format.

If this it is permanent damage.

Vertical lines on my 40 inch lcd mitsubishi hdtv 1080

Similar problem with an eleven and a half month old LT-40148. Approx. 1 inch vertical banding line on left side of screen on all inputs. After about two weeks, same problem on the right side of the screen.

Fortunately this occurred two weeks prior to the one year warranty expiring.

Called Mits customer service and they referred me to an authorized service center who I happened to have dealt with before.

They picked up the set. The front panel (LCD screen ) had to be replaced. Set was gone for two weeks as parts were not in stock. There was no charge. I hope this screen last more than a year.

Dark band on left side, Samsung HL-R5668W

the reflecting mirror is likely loose and falling down inside the light reflecting tube. you should have seen the band getting darker and larger,
the small mirror is in front of the lamp and bends the light,
remove the lamp and look down the tube (light path)
