Just bought a 42 inch 4k RCA. I ran the autochannel scanner as it asked and now my picture is stretched from top to bottom and doesn't fit. I have satellite tv.

Does it happen on normal TV broadcast or just over HDMI?
I'd try another HDMI first, personally. Test all ports with a known good cable as a first test.
go back to the store where you bought it and ask how to get it working
if the store is an ethical shop they will send around a technician to set it for you
last option is to take it back and get a warranty refund as it is not as described and not fit for the purpose
These are generic instructions for all TV's and all Remotes:
1. Press 'Menu' key on Remote (or 'Setup' key).
2. Go to Setup, View, or Picture tab (whichever one you've got in your Remote's Menu or Setup)
3. Change your Zoom or View aspect.
NOTE: Depending on the dimensions of your TV, you simply may not be able to view the entire picture using a correct aspect ratio (NOT stretched). On my 42" RCA is use a 4:3 Zoom setting to fill my screen but, it chops a little bit off the top & bottom. It's the best I can do with my current setup.
Don't know what wires your using to connect to tv. It does matter, sometimes the connections go bad, either at the tv or cable box. Have you tryed to stretch picture in settings?
This might be a case where we address the symptoms rather than the problem.
Instead of positioning the paper to be copied at the normal position, drop it down to the 2" mark. Then on the preview screen, adjust the area to be scanned down accordingly.
This should allow a full letter size scan with no loss, truncation or stretch.
There are 4 settings for the TV like zoom, stretch, smart stretch, and dot by dot... I personally like dot by dot it has the clear and fitted picture that you might want... Especially with HD chanels put it on the dot by dot setting...
