Why does the Battery Drop so fast On Samsung tablets

Hi possible faulty battery : u haven't mentioned make or model of tablet : to check if battery is available for you're tablet .cheers

A lot of thing could have happened when you opened up your Tablet. Samsung makes it tough to change out batteries in Tablets.

may have to many programes running in back ground try disabling google play services temporarily then monitor battery discharge

Does this only happen with a single web site, or is it any web site with drop-down menus? Have you tried a different browser, such as Chrome or Dolphin? What version of Android is on your tablet?

you might need to go in to your display setting and change the power setting so you use less power when useing to battery

Restart it and see. or you can contact Samsung for help.
The fast way is to take it back to Samsung store then get it fixed.

I studied my galaxy note 10.1. when i use the original wall charger it charges well, fast an no red cross appears. when i hook it to the usb of my laptop then the red cross apears and the tab reports that it is not on battery ( look at the time on battery it does not change) the battery also remains at the same charge level that it was when i hooked it up. when i use the car charger it does the same as with the laptop. my conclusion is that when hooked to the car and/or laptop the battery does not charge, but the tablet is running of the power from the external source and not the battery. this seems to be a very clever move from samsung to preserve the battery when it cannot be charged by the device it is hooked up to.

slide the drop down menu from the top of the screen (where the time and battery icons are) and click the 'Auto rotation'. that should do the trick. Cheers.
