SOURCE: Loose refrigerator door handle

weavie, this is one of those ugly little problems. Get hold of a small screwdriver, a pointy knife blade or similar and stick it into the gap, however small, between the cap and the handle. You may be able to find a small indent or similar near the bottom side of the cap. Gently pry up. It will yield. Be patient.

SOURCE: Amana AFI2538AEW bottom freezer door handle is loose?

My dad's freezer handle is loose, model ABB2224DEW. Went to partselect.com and located drawing of freezer door parts. Found a link to a "do-it-yourselfer" that describes removal and replacement of the handle. Hopefully this helps.

Replacement of freezer door handle.
1. Removed freezer door handle. First I read the freezer door handle removal instructions in the Amana refrigerator user guide. Removing the handle requires inserting a plastic card at least 1.5 inches under the left end of the right side of the handle so it releases the butterfly clip latch on the freezer door. Next I pulled the right side of the handle to lift it away from the freezer door. Then still holding the handle away from the door, at the spot that is 1.5 inches from the inside of the right side of the handle, I held the plastic card vertically and slid one corner of it between the handle and the freezer door and worked the card down until it released the butterfly clip latch. Keeping the card at the same space under the handle so the latch was released, I then turned the card to the left until it was horizontal and was lifting the left end of the right door handle away from the freezer door. I then slid the handle across the card to the left until it cleared both door butterfly clip latches and it lifted off the door.
2. Installed freezer door handle. First I read the freezer door handle installation instructions in the Amana refrigerator user guide. The handle is curved on one edge and must be installed the curved side down. Correctly installed, the outside ends of the handle curve upward and the handle curve is down so it looks like a frowning mouth. Next holding the handle curved edge down, I turned it up so I could see the brackets and held it against the door. I lined up the handle brackets slightly to the left of the butterfly clips on the freezer door. Next I turned the handle with the brackets against the freezer door and slid it slightly to the right until the left side of the handle held onto the door butterfly clip by itself but was not latched. Then I lined up the right handle bracket with the right freezer door butterfly clip and carefully slid the whole handle to the right until I heard the left butterfly clip latch click. Next I slid the handle back slightly left once more and then slid it back to the right until I heard the right butterfly clip latch click.

Does anybody in the fixya community know how to remove the back of a Frigidaire 50 pint Model FFAD5033R1A dehumidifier?

To remove the back cover, first remove the sides: two screws at bottom of side, one halfway up the back, one inside bucket opening. Also remove four screws holding the top on. Top slides forward to release, then sides slide up about 1/2 inch and pull straight out. Hooked into the front and back. Once the sides are off, the back will come off with remaining four screws.

Trying to remove the user interface cover for a kenmore washer

If you suspect you have a defective timer it can easily be replaced by performing the following steps:

1. Unplug washing machine... and pull out the timer knob. Some knobs have a removeable center cap and hidden screw. Some are simply slip-fit. Remove the knob.

2. Remove console. This can be accomplished in one of two ways depending on which type of console you have.

a. If the console has removable end caps, the caps lift off by prying on the top from the back of the washer.
The cap will pull off towards you as you are facing the unit from the front of the washer.
There will be a screw under each end cap that you will need to remove.

b. If the console does not have removable end caps, you will need to slide a putty knife under the front corner of each side and push in while lifting up.
There is a retaining clip under each side that has to be released.

3. Once the console has been released it will lift up and fold back over the back of the washer in its resting position. Use care not to stress the small plastic hinges that hold it on. They can break easily.

4. Disconnect all power plugs and remove the timer's mounting screws.

5. Reinstall reverse of removal.

Remove console

The console can be removed in a few different ways depending on your model number:

1. If the console has removable end caps, the caps lift off by prying on the top from the back of the washer. The cap will pull off towards you as you are facing the unit from the front of the washer. There will be a screw under each end cap that you will need to remove.

2. If the console does not have removable end caps, you will need to slide a putty knife under the front corner of each side and push in while lifting up. There is a retaining clip under each side that has to be released.

3. Some consoles have screws in the back that require removing before the entire panel will slide forward, then lift back.

Once the console has been released it will lift up and fold back over the back of the washer in its resting position. Use care not to stress the small plastic hinges that hold it on. They can break easily.

You should post back with your COMPLETE model number (located on a nameplate under along the wash tub opening under the lid) if you ruin into any difficulties. I hope this helps you.

PS Is there a reason why you are removing the console?

Locating the fuel filter

You didn't state the year or engine size,,,, On the firewall,( passenger side, back of engine compartment, it's round) on fuel injected models, relieve pressure of fuel line before beginning- gas cap off, also must release pressure on fuel injected models- some have pressure release on top of filter, others on fuel rail, this will be a bolt on top of a bolt. Hold the bottom bolt (w/ open end wrench, loosen top bolt w/ 6mm wrench. Cover with rag, so you don't have gas shooting up in your face. Carb models: have 2 filters, one inline in engine compartment, 2nd under car attached to fuel tank. Open gas cap to relieve pressure before starting removal on carb models. countrycurt0

Stacking Frigidaire dryer on washer using stacking kit 5303937141

You have to take the top off the washer a put it aside. You no longer need the top. Then you put the two angle brackets on the front top of the washer. this is where the front of the dryer will attach. The back of the washer either has or needs the brackets put on the top (been a long time since I did this). Remove the leveling legs from the dryer. Then lift the dryer and slide it on top of the washer with the back touching the top of the washer and the front about 2 inches higher than the washer top. The back of the dryer slides into the back brackets which are on the top back of the washer. Then lower the front of the dryer and the two "L" brackets on the front top of the washer slide through cracks into the dryer. Pop off the two plastic plugs on the dryer bottom front and place a screw in each one to hold the unit in place. Replace the plastic caps and you are done.

How do I remove the cabinet on a Kenmore Model 11022882101 top loading washer?

You need to remove 2 screws in console. They might be in back, on ends or in front ends. If you can't see any, they are under the console end caps. To remove end caps, pry off by pulling caps towards outside from center part of cap. Pry toward you and towards outside. Then remove 2 screws and flip console up and back. Unplug connector to washer cabinet. Remove 2 gold colored clips by inserting straight screwdriver in them and prying back. Make not of their position first. Now tilt cabinet toward you and slide forward and off base.
To replace, tilt cabinet and slide under frame in front. Now lower cabinet on to frame, making sure cabinet is on frame on sides. Re-install clips by placing them in position and pushing down with palm of hand. Plug in connector, lower console and install screws.
