I cannot stress this enough - if you are not intimately familiar with the action parts of this firearm, do not try to fix it yourself. The money you save on not using the service of a gunsmith will in no way pay your funeral expenses. Never attempt repairs on any firearm unless you know what you are doing and can disassemble and reassemble it without asking for help. Apparently you are not at that level of ability, find someone who is.

One..if your weapon has ever been dropped and your not in a war zone and you don't have training in fire arm repair then don't repair it yourself. Yup it's cheaper but if you damaged more then you think you just might have her blow p in your face... never fire a weapon that's been dropped barrel first until you have cleaned the barrel with a gun cleaning set and can assure that t is unobstructed. And my guess is your trigger and release pin has been knocked out of place.

I have a H&R Topper and I want to replace the ugly plastic trigger guard and trigger group with blued steel. How do I install the trigger guard and group into the action?

The trigger is in a plastic housing that incorporates the guard, it is held in by pins, that must be driven out in the proper direction from the receiver. I would discourage you from doing this. The barrel latch has a heavy spring you will have to overcome in disassembly and reassembly and unless you know what you are doing you will need to hire a gunsmith to fix it. The better option is to spend your money on a better gun.

When i load the BB in the chamber it just falls right out of the end of the barrel when i point the gun barrel down

Is your hop up unit on? The hop up unit is what keeps the BB from falling out of the barrel. You need to access it and turn it on so it blocks the BBs.

Here's a good video tutorial that explains it: https://youtu.be/EYFES6w4jfs
