How do i get the back off my maytag medx500xl to check thermo and fuses

Rear rollers are accessed from front, either remove drum or pull forward about 6 inches.

could be the rollers, or the drum glides, even bad center beaing?

I just seen a recall list on many dryers, Home Depot listed it

Check to see if the hose is plugged going to the outside

Check for a blocked vent. If the vent is blocked or restricted it will cause the thermo fuse to blow. If the thermo fuse is not blown check for a broken heating element. I hope this may help.

Possibly or the thermo fuse just went bad normally if the thermo-fuse blows its a venting problem warm moist air back builds into the dryer which in turn blows the thermo-fuse to save the dryer from further damage and also keeps from starting a fire in your home a big saftey feature that has saved many homes.

You need to make sure you have no restriction with the exhaust behind the dryer. Make sure line isn't making too many turns and proper is straight to the wall. Check to make sure you have exhaust to outside. If not the tips on dryer too long to dry is a fantastic way to clear the exhaust. Hope this helps.

safty fuse may just be a bad one . to ck thermo use a tempt tester in the vent . it chould cycle at 155 deg on hi and 140 on del .settings. if flex venting is used it may have been kinked . if yo don't tust the thermo the you should change it .. but keep in mind it takes 190deg + tempt to blow the saftey..

if its digital a board or control panel, if digital are any lights coming on. not sure what model i donr see on. most dyers have a thermo fuse if goes bad will shut unit down. thermo fuses usually go bad if a vent is clogged . always make sure you got power to unit. also check breaker first.

The thermal cut-out is located on the right side of the heater unit.This will kill your power. Change the t-stat also and check that your vent system is clear.
