SOURCE: red/pink shades in dark areas happens only 6ins down from top

i'm having the same problems, in the dark areas i get a red shade. has lg or anyone else figured out how to fix it, if so your help would be appreciated very much. also i have my pc connected to it and having the same problems.

question one.. is there and audible whine like a bad motor.. THIS could be a color wheel. this mechanical wheel provide the color for the set. This is the first possiblity for the symptoms you describe

I had same problem - no picture, but sound worked - LG 42PC3d - was two months past warranty, but LG agreed to fix it as a warranty call. Service guy was out within a week to replace the Z SUS(?) board. Works fine now. This must be a typical problem, as LG did fix it, even though the warranty had expired. Good luck.

SOURCE: Our display board was replaced now the y sustainer board needs replaced

Three suggestions:
Contact http://www.ptscorp.com/television.html. They have a selection of replacement boards or will repair it Fees are usually $50 to $125 and I have had great success with them.
Another would be to try www.shopjimmy.com and lastly do a Google search, if you know the exact part number, to find other sources for the board.
