Im using a sansui led tv. the movie is in mp4 format
In most cases You have to plugin USB device into TV before it will show up in menu, try a different device if it shows up then the first is the problem! not all USB devices will work on some TVs!

i have same problem and cannot seem to scroll or navigate my
playlist list, just what comes up. i.e. once connected to the usb
port on the escalade it will scroll those playlist which come up
on the screen. unable to see any video.
hopefully someone can shed some light on this problem.

You may need a firmware update, go online to Sony, contact customer support and the technical department for answers, they should be able give the information that is required to help get this problem resolved.
Hi LCD or LED tvs use different formats to process data depending on the copying or writing codec or format of the disk or source in your case your tv doesn't have the software to process the data on your usb drive the best thing to do is convert the data in the usb to a recognizable format like mp3 or mk11 or digital audio n the usb drive will be played on your telly another way is use a blu ray player or hometheater with usb interface n you will be fine they have at least various formats to process usb data
