Batteries are sensitive to extremes of heat or cold. Notice there is conflicting advice as to whether to completely drain a lithium battery or to charge it when down to 20%. I completely power mine down when not using it.

go to a phone repair shop as a new screen will be about 1/2 the price of a new tablet and you will still have it all set up

Try restarting the tablet, and see if that works. If you are unable to restart it, try removing the battery if you can. If you are finally unable to do anything, take it back to the location you purchased it from and get a new one.

With the charger hooked up and plugged in the tablet will only show the battery on the screen briefly to let you know it's charging. It won't actually boot up until it has a sufficient charge. Just let it set that way for a couple of hours then try to power up.

I've had the same problem with my RCA 10 inch tablet. I have charged it, tried the hard reset, used different chargers and even different outlets, and held the power button on for 60+ seconds with NO RESULTS! My recommendation is to contact RCA, which is what I am doing, and request an immediate replacement if yours is still under the 1 year manufacturers warranty. If you look these tablets up, you will see (as I have found) that this is apparently a common problem with the tablets. Wish I had known that prior to purchasing!

No. But the battery may be dead. Plug in the charger and then try to turn it on.

Did you purchase an extended warranty for the device? If so, they should replace it for you with no additional charges. If not, then I would call their customer service and find out.

The battery is defective, replace it.
