SOURCE: My toshiba satellite M100 keep turn off, why?

I use a Satellite. They are not heat friendly. Use canned air to blow out the vents on the side & back and blow out the fans on the bottom. Get a cooling fan for under the computer. Try to use it on a firm or hard surface since a soft surface won't allow air flow. Blow it out at least every 2 weeks.

Bios password for toshiba satellite M100

You can reset the BIOS password. To do that read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

Noise from power supply

Hello obs1,
It appears you have a faulty ground from where you plug into the power outlet. You may need to invest in a better surge protector or try another power outlet.
