The convergence circuit is not working. There are bad solder connections on the sweep board and a small fuse is open. this is not easily done yourself unless you have a technical background but an RCA tech can fix this easily.
Go to menu then setup look for convergence if you do not see convergence then you have a open FUSE FL231 it will be on right side of FBT flyback transfomer there will be 3 ina roll they are small brown rectranigler looking caps but are FUSES. It will be the one in the middle.
ok go into setup menu.... go to convergence.. try to adjust convergence .. does the crosshair move up and down side to side... if not then you might hqve q poblem with convergence power supply if they move then u might have s setup issue
If the convergence is missing in the menu in screens, you have a bad reg ic on the convergence power supply the part number is 215530,the power supply is located on the black plastic above the right module with all the heat sinks
You have bad convergence IC's.. If your not experienced in troubleshooting electronics or soldering, you should have a trained tech take a gander at the set. Its not worth risking life and limb to save a few bucks, Good Luck
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together convergence repair kits for most models.
The kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, etc. Everything you will need to do the repair yourself.
