SOURCE: How do you adjust the belt for a Weslo Cadence 815 treadmill?
Hi, I don't have a manual on your particular treadmill but most all treadmills use the same type of belt tension and tracking, which is an allen screw adjustment on the rear tension bar. One on either side. You should have been provided an allen wrench with your treadmill, if not then use one of your own the proper size. Make the adjustment with the unit running at its slowest speed. Clockwise tightens the tension and will draw the belt. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
SOURCE: 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S, with AC - how to replace belts?
first of all you don't have to loosen the pulley, this will no solve the problem, well you already loosen the adjuster, good, bot thing you have not done i will tell you now,on the power steering pump where the belt pass there is also a bolt that hold it ,you must loosen that also, then after you will see the pump moving on the two position that means you will see the belt loosen on 1 position an d the position it will tight the belt, try that man.............
SOURCE: treadmill powers up but belt will not rotate
Check to see if the motor is spinning. If not spinning, then use a voltmeter to find out the voltage of power going to the motor that spins the belt. See if you can rotate it by hand.
SOURCE: Belt slipping on treadmill
This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.
