SOURCE: DWA-130 work on WRT54G router?

Yes, the WRT54G router will support all 802.1 complaint devices, including the DWA-130 wireless n.  You will however not achieve 'n' speeds, only the fastest speed supported by the router which is 54G.

A little more info would be helpful. What speed do you consider slow? Also, what web sites are you visiting? Finally, have you confirmed that you have the latest driver software installed for the adapter and is your windows (and browser) software up to date? Check Windows Task manager (Control-shift-escape) to see if your PC is already suffering from high utilization, the wireless adapter will drive it a bit higher. If you have several apps running in the background that are driving utilization up try stopping them. You may have to choose between convenience and performance if you are pushing the PC too hard.

No lights means no power, so that's not a good sign.
Can you check that it's plugged in?
Is the transformer plugged in properly?
(Obvious one: is the plug switched on?)
Can you try another power supply to see if that's the problem?

just click on drivers on the right side menu.. and choose the one for your Operating System. download and install it. You should be able to use your usb adapter once the driver is installed.
