What kind of cd player do you have? you must make sure that your unit has auxillary inputs. some decks dont have them. if it is set up with aux input rca's, then you just connect those to the mp3 player, then you should be able to play it in the aux mode on the deck. if you cant find it by hitting the source button, then you may not have it. I know on my sony stereo, I actually had to turn the deck off with the ignition switch on. then I press the menu button, and there I can toggle the aux mode on or off. if that doesnt work either, then you either dont have aux inputs, or the inputs are bad on the stereo, meaning its not gonna work at all.

American audio MCD 510 will not read Cds

what is this thing, part of a car? no
what means" Read CDs????"" << I cant' guess. it.
did that mean analog works but the digital jacks are dead? only?
it is HOME Stereo Dual CD deck player.
analog RCA out and digital. out x2. S/PDIF digital output for each player

Do not set the AC line voltage on REAR wrong (0r smoke time)
plays CD_DA disks and some MP3 files. on CD
the clicker needs new batteries. (repeats often)
we can not see your display to see things good or wrong.
even both. hummmm we are blind here and seeing is first.
first learn this,
1: test any deck like this using CD_DA (digital autio) disks using only store bought (brick) real music disks,
this is test #1 and they must play on both channels L/R
RCA OUT JACKS. TO THE AMP, RECEIVER, OR HEAD..
TEST
#2 A MP3 DISK (JUST FILES NO FOLDERS)
LIKE STONES.MP3. ETC
BURNED SLOW TO CD-R (DASH NOT PLUS)
use only normal Mp3 encoding not wild.
encode (44.1 kHz at normal pitch)

2005 made deck I think or older. (oldest review says)
the manual is free online

in the blind
we can not see what media you use or if MP3.
or how rear is connected and to what AMP.
nor if RCA or S/PDIF digital output fails 1 or both or all channels.

I was wondering if it was at all possible to set this up to be able to play music from an MP3. I purchased an RCA to 3.5mm adapter and hooked it up in the back but have yet to figure out how to make it...

Hello,
Those RCA connectors on your stereo are preamp outputs not inputs. Take it out of your MP3 player or you are gonna ruin it. If you wish to listen to an MP3 player with this stereo the you will have to use a wireless FM transmitter. https://www.myjupiterjack.com/?tid=3740&gclid=COKv-4n2nagCFYRa7Aod_T-wIQ You will put this item in the little jack on the top pf your MP3 player and on that little transmitter you will have 4 station selections to make sure you can find an empty one. You will turn the radio to the radio channel selection and your MP3 will come out of your deck on that frequency. You can use it for your cell as well. At 2 for $10 buck plus shipping it's a great deal. I use them myself.

Can and how do you connect an mp3 to play music through the tv.

You can take the output of your MP3 player and use an an adapter cable and feed it into one of the audio inputs on the TV. Most electronic stores should have an audio jack to RCA adapter cord. You could also use a DVD player thats connected to the TV and play MP3 you burn on a CD if the player is mp3 compatible.

Cannot get my mp3 player to operate on the aux input consistently

I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana and I use a 2 pronged RCA plug at one end with a yellow plug and a white plug, and the other end is one plug to use for the MP3 player. Plug your RCA plugs into the bottom 2 plugs. My RCA plugs on my cord are yellow and black the yellow one is in the middle
plug and the black in the bottom one and I use the AUX input for my MP3 player. I have a SANSA
and a Ipod and they both work fine. I hope this helps. Just a FYI so you don't think your radio is
going whacko after you do get the MP3 player to work the AUX will always come on first and you will have to push the AM/FM button on the dash or the steering wheel to get the radio or DVD back on.
And the DVD player will have to be switched on for the AUX to play the MP3 player.
Have fun...

Jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

How do I hook my MP3 player to this system?

The MP3 on the front just means you can put a cd that has MP3 files in there and it will play.

I have a mp3 player and i would like to play it on my home stereo. It has inputs for cd player, phono all using rca jacks. I tried to use a mp3 jack from my player to the rca jacks boy I got alot os noise...

Hi,
You may have a bad cable. Go pick up one of those cables designed for iPods that plugs into the headphone jack on the player, that ends with two RCA plugs. If that cures it, the other cable was bad.
The BEST way to do it though, is if there is a docking station made for your player that has RCA connectors on the back, so that you can use normal RCA cables.

Buzzing sound and can't open stereo

Again RCA stereos **** for this factor, cheap transformers, replace the transformer and see if that helps as it seems to be the most problem with most RCA systems I've repaired in the past.

Mp3 player only plays on right side speakers

Have you tried a different jack? It could be faulty.
