It could need a keyboard rebuild or the flat cable between the keyboard and printer may be loose or have briken wires

Spray some WD40 on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on. If this doesn't work Spray some on the carrier motor bearings, located under the case R. rear corner. You can access the front one from 9inside the rear you will have to fish the straw thru the case.
