it is seperate heaters for wash and dry and unlikely to be connected with blocked filter tho you should check filter regularly. take top off. on manifold running across top you will see stats. one of these at least is resettable by presssing a small knob in middle and if it has gone you will hear a slight click. then check dryer manifole for build up of lint as pooir air flow can cause stat to pop. for wash heating, start by checking continuity of the wash heater located at the bottom of the tub

You're a moron. This unit washes and dries. That's the whole point of it. Perhaps you should do some research before answering the question. the most likely cause is the water lever sensor.

My Hoover tumble dryer is not heating up - is there a cut out switch that needs to be re-set? - filter and hoses are clear

Typically there is a sensor that keeps the temp of the drying clothes at the proper range.
This sensor may be faulty.

Hoover Tumble Dryer trips out

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It seems to be the issue with the Thermal Fuse going bad and needs to be replaced. It is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. Whenever this fuse goes bad it'll either trip the circuit breaker or the dryer wont heat. You can also check it for continuity with an ohm meter, no continuity means the fuse is bad and you need to replace it. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Our Hoover Washer Dryer HW130M has stopped drying on the Tumble cycle. It continues to turn and dial turns to cmpletion but doesn't seem to heat up. Only realised as days cooler and not been using outside...

Yes could be the element but there is also a reset button for the element, designed to trip out if ever gets too hot. Remove the top of the machine and button should be clearly visible. Try this first before committing to a new element

3135 Dryer Broke

If you remove the top there is a thermal fuse on the dryer heater duct, it appears this has blown, on some versions this is resettable, you will see a small button on a thermostat, push it in if it makes a suttle clip it has reset. Regards Advisor
