Your receiver has Zone-2 functionality. For Zone-2, it has both speaker (powered) output and pre-out line outputs. According to Yamaha FAQ, these pre-out outputs are independent on the main volume settings. So if your wireless headphones have their own volume settings, you can change the volume independent on speakers volume.

If you want same volume for speakers and headpohones, use the PRE-OUT FRONT outputs on the back. If you want different volumes (and listen to headphones even with speakers muted), use ZONE-2 OUT outputs on the back.

You can purchase wireless headphones at most electronic retailers. They will connect to the stereo RCA outputs on the back of the TV. Then you just turn the volume down on the TV. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

Unsoder and resoder the connections to the headphone Jack. Be sure you know how to soder well because this will cancel your warrenty.

I have the headset running through an amplifier so my wife can listen at her volume level and I can adjust the headset volume for myself. The volume dial on the amp is set to zero; but the audio output jacks still provide plenty of volume to the headset. You can get a reasonable amplified for $100 or less

Roy, easy way to do that is go to wally mart, K-mart sears etc. and get a set of "rca wireless headphones" they are inexpensive and the headphones have a volume control built into them so you can have it as loud as YOU want, and the wife can set the volume on the tv where she wants, bought a set for my father-in-law and he loves them, (he`s very hard -of -hearing) you can even walk out of the room with them on and still hear the program, buy them for yourself as a christmas present, enjoy, BMW Rider
