3 1/2 year old Whirlpool Duet Dryer stopped heating up

I have a 3.5 year old whirlpool duet dryer that I use A LOT , practically all day
every day, and it stopped heating up, everything else works. The guaranty just expired, of course.
I heard it could be the heating element or the thermostat,
1.Could it be anything else?
2.How do I know which?
3.Is it fairly easy to fix?
Please help, I need that thing running asap

My whirlpool duet dryer produces heat but it's very moist in the dryer and takes forever to heat. Almost like the steam feature is overacting

Check your vent from the dryer to the outside be sure it is all clear no lint & not stopped up. Could have a lot of lint inside the dryer & not letting the fan turn. check the fan.

Whirlpool duet electric dryer leaking water

Check and clean your venting from the dryer to the outside. If it is plugged it will trap the moisture in the machine. Remember heat doesn't dry the clothes without air flow to push the moisture out.

I have a 4 year old duet dryer that does not heat. Is it difficult to get/replace the heating element?

If its only 4 years old you probably have a bad thermal protector, Take the bottom front cover off and check with a meter to see if any are open. They cost about 35$. Otherwise look for a local guy to do the job for 150$
