SOURCE: fizzy dr. pepper in my casio sy-20

Stewart!!! didn't I tell you not to carry that thing around in your bag?! I told you you'll end up breaking it! and now you had to be smart and shake a can of Dr. Pepper around with it!!! Ahem, sorry, don't know what came over me, turned into your mum there for a second ;] Too bad no one answered you any sooner. The longer you leave it, the more damage it gets. Sweet drinks are not good for electronics. You should take it apart and clean the internal parts one by one with distilled water, clean the sticky drink out, and let it dry. If you don't trust yourself with it take it to a lab to work on. Just bear in mind that most chances it's damaged, and won't come back to life with out replacing some parts, so you might as well take it to a lab in the first place. Also, if you tried turning it on after it got wet you didnt do it any good, you just tried to run current through a device soaked in sweet water and screwed it some more. Sorry kid, better luck next time ;]

Is Coke really going to stop making Dr. Pepper

Dr Pepper is owned by the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. Coca Cola, Inc. has nothing to do with the manufacture of Dr Pepper. Both Coca Cola, Inc., and PepsiCo, Inc., provide bottling services, under contract to Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc.

So, the short answer to your question is, "No".
