Question about Dewalt 7.2-18.0 Volt One Hour Charger

5 Answers

No Manual? My new DW9116 1 hour charger arrived yesterday. It clearly says on the front to read the manual for information on the tune-up mode but there's no manual with the unit and there's no manual posted on the DeWalt site!

unfortunately, there is not button of any kind on the chargers. This may have been a feature on older versions. According to the manual- which I got to read by finding a store that had them in stock and the fellow there helped me open up a box and get the sheet out to look it over - the tuneup feature kicks in automatically if the battery is left in place for more than the charging time and takes 6-8 hours to complete.

The tune up mode on these chargers is a three stage charging process which helps to prolong the life and endurance of you batteries . to put the charger into tune up mode all you have to do is press the yellow button on the back right hand corner of the charger , when the batteries is being charged in tune up mode the charge time in considerably longer than the normal 1 hour charge time .i would recommend to use the tune up mode at least every 4 - 5 chargers to maximize the the life of your battery's .if you are not using the battery's flat out all the time it will not hurt to use tune up all the time. I hope this gives you a good insight into the operation and care of your battery's and charger.

Jan 31 2013.
This link will deliver the Dewalt manual for charger #9116:

The unit was recalled and is discontinued, but you can still buy them on the net.

The replacement model, #9310, is more expensive.

I have no opinion or experience, whether the older 9116 works as well to maintain and condition batteries, but both models are SUPPOSED to be dual NiCd and NiMh capable.

Hi, Yesterday the system arrived home and I

Look at the notes on page 22 in the manual. It may not be the settings just don't match up with the TV. It takes two to tango.

"Resolutions available for the HDMI output are 480p, 720p,1080i/1080p. See page 27 for the resolution setting.

This product operates in Interlace scan mode 480i for component/composite output.

After making the video connection, set the Video input source on your TV to match the corresponding Video output (HDMI, Component or Composite) on your product.

Turn this product on first before you set the video input source on your TV. See your TV owner's manual for more information on how to select the TV's Video Input source."

What does your unidentified TV manual say about the message?

Have GE digital timer 15117. Can't figure out how to make the display show AM/PM so I can set it correctly. Clock hour/min just cycles through 12 hours without noting AM or PM setting. Can't program...

GE 15117 manual

You might try a new AA battery.
Some guy wrote in this week and said he bought 6 timers and all the batteries were bad except 1.

Some timers, like Woods TD1300, and others have the 12 hour or 24 hour option.
You press and hold Time button to choose 12 hour or 24 hour
But GE 15117 manual says nothing about this option.

GE 15117 timer is same timer as Woods 59403
Several folks have written in past couple weeks about the Woods 59403 timer skipping over functions.
The best I can guess is your timer is malfunctioning like the other people's timers.

Woods 59403 manual is identical to GE manual, and says nothing about 12 hour 24 hour option either

I test timers for programming and wiring difficulties.
Yesterday 3 timers arrived here, and 1 didn't work.
I took it apart and tested the electronics, and something went bad.
When these timers don't work, you get your money back or throw them away.

Stove reads s ab

"SAB" is the Sabbath Mode. This enables the consumer to disable certain features of the range in order to honor the sabbath. Usually this disables the oven, but allows the consumer to still use the surface burners. You cannot defeat it by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker either. You will either have to wait 72 hours for the mode to clear, or figure out how to turn it off.

Somewhere in the owner/operator's manual is a section that refers to "Sabbath Mode". Since all ranges differ in features, you need to refer to the operation section of your owner's manual to find out how to shut the feature off.

I believe your model number actually reads "AER5725QAN" This is the closest match I could find for the model number you provided. The instructions for Sabbath mode are listed on page 12 of your owner's manual. To cancel Sabbath Mode you press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds.

If you can't find this information, or no longer have an owner's manual, you can download or print a copy for FREE at Just enter your model number under the "Manuals" link and you will find it listed in .pdf (Adobe) format. If you have questions, please post back with your correct MODEL NUMBER (if different from the one I provided) and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Apparently there are 2 modes in which to use the MENU function, Standby & Tuner mode. The manual doesn't make this very clear. However, Manual Tuning can be aceived by putting the radio into TUNER mode, then pressing the MENU button for a couple of seconds & scrolling thro' with the Control Button until you can set Manual Tuning to ON.
