Bfit battery replacement

How do you change out the battery in a BFit watch? I took it to a jewelry shop and they could not figure out how to remove the battery. It is by American Exchange.

SOURCE: Can't figure out how to change watch strap

Hi, try this - it worked for me. Use a needle to poke the ends of the watch strap axel (at the end and running across the strap). This should then allow you to lit the silver panels at the top and bottom of the watch face off. The axel should then slide out. I did this by pushing one end of it through with a needle so that the other end poked out enough to pull it out with a paid of pliers.

SOURCE: Timex indiglo. Indiglo feature died.

The indiglo technology is time limited (it dims over the years with use) and cannot be repaired - have you had the watch a long time? if so, I'm afraid it's time to get a new one. Sorry!

SOURCE: Battery change Citizen Promaster Watch Model# C112.

mcdevito75 here, You should be able to get some help online at in the meantime you can try to press and hold in the MODE button, press and hold it in for a couple of seconds. Also< IO wouldn"t be surprised if the battery has to come out and installed again, same new battery just simply have it taken out and put back in, maybe some sort of re-set. Check out the website, don"t do anything till then.

SOURCE: We bought the Fossil Brown rectangle watch model

  • Change the battery. If your watch stops ticking, chances are the watch is not broken and the battery simply needs to be replaced. You can purchase a watch battery at your local department store or drugstore. Use the screwdriver to pry the back off the watch and place the new battery in the same place where the old one fit.
  • Step 2 If your watch is still not working, determine the problem. If you can hear the watch ticking but the hands are not moving, there may be a gear stuck inside. If only one of the hands does not move, the hand itself could be broken. Once you determine the problem, you can see whether it makes more sense to purchase a new watch or get the old one fixed.
  • Step 3 Check your watch warranty. If your Fossil watch came with a warranty that is not yet expired, Fossil will fix your watch if you send it to the company and pay for shipping and handling. See the "Resources" section below to fill out the Watch Repair Form provided by If your watch strap is broken, however, Fossil will charge you a fee as broken straps are not covered in the warranty.
  • Step 4 Check a competing local watch repair store. There are watch repair stores located all over the United States that will repair a Fossil watch if your watch is no longer under warranty or if you do not want to pay the shipping and handling to send the watch to Fossil's watch repair department. Although the watch repair store may not have the exact strap you are looking for, it may offer a replacement strap that is similar to the one that originally came with your watch.
  • Step 5 Return the watch to the store where you bought it. If you purchased a Fossil watch that was broken when you purchased it or broke recently after you brought it home, you may be able to return the watch for a refund or store credit. Check with the store's policy before purchasing the watch if you are concerned about returns.

Where can I obtain 23mm spring pins for Luminox 6402?

Many replacement watch bands come with a set of replacement spring bars. In addition, just about any place that change watch bands for customers--whether it's a jewelry store, a watch battery & band kiosk in a shopping mall, or possibly even a department store jewelry counter--also carries an assortment of spare spring bars for those times when the person changing the band drops or breaks a spring bar. These are inexpensive components, and you should not be charged much (if anything) for a replacement spring bar if you bring your watch to one of these places.

In the jewelry supply and wholesale trade, spring bars are sold in bulk, either in one size or as part of a larger assortment. I buy my spring bars in increments of 100. I have never seen a way to buy a single spring bar (or pair of spring bars) except from a retail operation.

Unable to remov e back to fit battery

It's best not to do it yourself without the proper tools as you can damage the watch and you probably don't have the replacement gasket you'll need to put it back together. Most any watch shop or jewelry store will change the battery and gasket for you for abut $8. Well worth it to protect your valuable investment!

How to change my battery on my fossil watch?

when you look at the back are there three small rectangular indents evenly spaced on the edge on the back? If so you'll need a special tool for opening waterproof watches. the tool adjusts to fit the three indents then press down as you turn counterclockwise. you can find the tool on or your local jewelry store. make sure the gasket is in place and not damaged before screwing the back on.

here is a link to the tool

the type f battery will be written on the battery and you can usually find them at a drug store, hardware store or jewelry store that sells watches.

I can not get the watch band to fit my wrist. How do i shorten the band

If it is a metal band there are links in the side of teh band that you can remove. If all teh removable links are gone you may need to change the band into a smaller one. And there are little pins by the watch you can do that as well. I recommend taking to a jewelry repair shop. Some jewelry store do repairs as well, and may have parts you need for this as well as the tools.

Which watch battery do I use?

There are lots of different size button batteries for watches. I work in a clock shop where we change batteries in watches and I have had people bring the watches into me without batteries and it is really a guessing game. A lot of watches take a #377 battery. You can try that or take it to a place that changes watch batteries and let them figure it out.
