I have a Toshiba thrive and unfortunately its just a really expensive paperweight. It has never been able to open app place, and was never compatible with many apps from the play store, but now that I was prompted for updates it so kindly reset my tablet for me and I can download most any app, just to be told that my software does nit support it. Total waste of time and lost all my photos!

it sounds right for wireless access point comes from your router... if your tablet's wireless setting is different form what 2wire has then it wont really work...
if you can specifically tell me the changes that toshiba wants on the 2wire wireless modem/router kindly reply on this and i would be more than willing to help you out on giving instructions...

I would start by rebooting the device if you haven't already. Also go into your settings, Applications and select All applications if you can. Fin your application you use to download and install apps with, such as the Play store. Clear out the cache. Now try to download again that should fix it.

Start by going into settings > Apps. Locate your application used to download/install, typically it will be the Play Store. tab on it and clear the cache, then force stop the application. This should clear out any bad data.

This is the worst and most frustrating purchase ever!!! Finally registered it and downloaded apps from scratch since i lost my preloaded apps from factory reset and everytime we want to play a game, parental control pops up every time, even in the middle of the game!! Ridiculous!
