use a phone camera and look at the front emitter LED the camera will show the invisible output as white light, if you indeed have output showing you can be reasonably sure the remote is working, here is a link for IR sensors on the plus side they all plug into the set with no soldering and just one screw.

It sounds like main board fault. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. Have screen replaced common fault.

Your LCD panel motherboard has gone dud. You need a new LCD panel...but probably a new tv!

If it powers ON, and do not display a screen, check and replace the back light inverter circuit.

I dont provide refrigerator repair service on commercial units, but my first instinct is to say that E7 is an error code message, likely pertaining to a self diagnostic system, but you would also likely need the manual to determine the source of that error.
