If any of the selector switches is dirty this will happen.
a drip of wd40 into every micro switch should solve it unless it is a dry solder joint on any of the switches.

LG FB162 no sound when connected with Aux

Instead of aux (Blue Connector of PC Sound), try using head phone jack (Green Connector of PC Sound). It if is working fine, uninstall sound driver of your PC, restart PC and install sound driver again. Your problem will be fixed.

LG LHT754 stuck on dvd function and won't change input

Hold down "2" on the remote simultaneous to "stop" on the receiver. In a couple of seconds you will see something appear on the display. OPO-63? Anyway, repeat the process again when you see that. The system will reset. This will also take care of the inability to switch to AUX or Ipod.

Mic won't work at auxiliary mode

On the remote control, there is a blue "Magic Mic" button. Press on that your mic will turn on in any mode.
Just joking but I've been mad about how bad this LG home theater system is. It can only play extremely limited video files and turn off the mic in AUX mode. So the answer is you really can't do that. Buy a mixer instead.

The volume coming from the AUX setting is low. It seems fine through the radio or DVD settings but not through the setting that we use for the TV. We have to turn it up to the 20s to be heard well.

The volume coming IN to the AUX is a function of the device feeding it (TV in this case). Your unnamed TV probably has setting for either FIXED or VARIABLE audio out.

I cant get the lg lhb977 to work with my cable box. what do i need to set up to hear regular tv not just blue ray and dvds

All i did was run regular red and white audio cords rom my cable boxs audio output to the lg lhb977's regular red and white audio input. and press function enough times on the front of the system till it gets to "AUX" and then it worked for me. As long as you go to ur actual tv options screen and try to set ur speakers to "external speakers" rather than "tv speakers". hope it works

Will play dvds with sound fine...but no sound from tv

You have to connect extra red & white audio cable from your TV's (or cable box, if you have one) AUDIO OUT to the Home Theater's AUX IN 2 at the back (below Video In). Set the HTS unit to AUX 2 using the AUX button on the remote control and you should be able to get sound.

Aux

Put the input on the TV to where the LG is selected. This should display the output of the LG system.

On the remote hit HOME, go to Easy Menu and select AUX. Be sure to hook your computer output cables to the AUX sound inputs on the bottom of the subwoofer.

Hope this helps.
