I have a Philips 42" Plasma TV (model# 42PF7320A/37) It will power on then click and then I get 7 blinking red LEDs. I have taken the back off because I read that one of the capacitors on the power board might be bad. Unfortunately all the capacitors look good. Can any one give me something else to try?
Hello, amigo if the all the caps are godd then you have to replace the power supply board. don't try to fix it this is not an easy task. you are looking at almost $200.00 with tax an shipping. just go to google and type your tv model # and ask for the power supply board or just look for the part# on the board itself. good luck
This was absolutely helpful! I love sites like this that help people with advice, its great for everyone involved. Although I had seen this answer in different terms on another site already it helps confirm what I already read and makes me feel more confident about the diagnosis. I am a female so when something like this tears up and I have to take it into a repair place I feel better knowing what is going on because some people are not honest and try to rip people off especially when it comes to a female who they assume knows nothing about electronics. I sincerly appreciate everyone on this site who tries to help people. I am taking my power supply board out and in for repair in the morning the man I spoke with says if it is only the capasitors (two of them are bulging out) then he would repair it for $20.00 I think that is a fair price for the capasitors (2) and for soderin them back on. Cross my fingers thats all the problem is. Again thanks so much for sharing your information I appreciate you taking your time to answer a question to help somoene else out it will come back to you when you need it the most. God Bless
