There isn't an active battery symbol, you can only see it at the top of the menu screen. There also isn't a percentage attached to the amount of battery time you have left, only an approximation.

As long as they are both registered to the same account. You can transfer them by going to 'Manage Your Kindle' or they will be archived, as long as you downloaded the books via Amazon.

First reaction is to reset the tablet. Second check if you still can logon with your ID on the Kindel Store. Then try to buy a book. When the error keeps coming back goto the support page from Amazon with the link here:

It isn't possible to do it that way. Your friend would need to sign into their own kindle account and "deregister" their kindle.(watch for this if you buy a 2nd hand kindle - has to be unregistered). You would then need to register your friend's kindle on your own account. That would allow you to share YOUR library but not his/hers. Then of course all ebooks would have to be bought through your account. Simpler to just lend him/her your kindle.
