How to fix a broken Quinny Buzz all terrain front wheel?

The airline broke our front wheel, pulling the wheel apart at the swivel pillar. I have two pieces instead of one. One piece is the plastic neck which attaches to the stroller frame, and the other piece is the wheel with the exposed swivel pillar. Any tips on how to get these pack together? It looks as though it needs to be taken apart somehow then reassembled.

Hi

The front wheel unit isn't designed to be taken apart and put back together this way, it would be recommended that you replace the unit.

SOURCE: 2000 dodge intrepid driver door latch broken

We purchased a door latch to replace ours from Dodge. It came with instructions as follows:

Instruction Sheet

Front Door Handle/Bezel Replacement for LH

1. Remove the front door trim panel using the procedures outlined in Section 23 of the appropriate service manual.

2. Place door trim panel on a clean work surface. Drill the mounting bosses' heat stakes, which attach the existing door handle/bezel to the panel, with a 21/64-drill bit. Take extra care to only drill in the center of each heat stake.

3. Remove existing handle/bezel from trim panel.

4. Clean the back of the trim panel of plastic fillings.

5. Seat the new handle/bezel into location.

6. Place the push nuts onto the handle/bezel bosses.

7. Use a 10 mm socket to install the push nuts all the way down on the mounting bosses to secure the handle/bezel onto the door trim panel. Using a wiggling side-to-side motion may be helpful.

8. Install the lock switch from the original handle/bezel to the new door handle/bezel.

9. Reinstall the door trim panel using the procedures outlined in Section 23 of the appropriate service manual.

Hope this helps.

The front wheel on my quinny buzz 3 hardly moves and makes steering the pram very difficult. Especially on tiled floors, such as shopping centres. The wheel isn't locked, so it's on the swivel wheel...

Hi,

The best thing to do is to remove the front wheel (depress the black buttons either side of the front axle and pull!) then completely clean the wheel assembly in warm water and a SMALL amount of gentle detergent, then dry completely, apply a small amount of vaseline or similar, then replace. This should help.

Looking to change from quinny buzz 4 to a quinny buzz 3 where can i get front wheel /

You can buy all the types of buzz wheels (front 3 wheel unit, front 4 wheel fork unit, front 3 all terrain air inflated unit and rear wheels) direct from Dorel, go to http://www.dorel.co.uk/contact-us/ or Tel: 01842 763281., they are always super helpful and very nice. Or you can buy them from this retailer (which I found to be a good deal cheaper) http://babyequipmentcomplete.com/main_site/main/index.php?pge=check or on ebay which are definitely more expensive for new wheels, but perhaps not for used ones. Hope this helps.

Quinny buzz 3 and front wheel

Hi,

I would personally recommend the Buzz 4 front wheel as I beleive that this offers much more stability than a single front wheel. If this does not work out for you, you can always eBay it, it will sell within minutes!

Hope this helps.

Is it possible to convert the Buzz 3 front wheel to an inflatable tyre? If it is I'd like to do it - it will overcome the problems of pushing on rough terrain!

Quinny do an All-Terrain front wheel that replaces the front wheels on a Buzz 3. It's basically two new front wheels that are slightly bigger and pnuematic. Worked a treat on a recent holiday to Brixham where we took our Buzz onto the un-surfaced coast path. We got ours from www.babycare.nl a dutch site that sells Quinny Spares it costs Eur62.50.

My quinny buzz front wheel keeps getting stuck half way and i end up trying to push the chair with the front wheel sideways which is impossible. i have been advised to clean the front wheel out as it gets...

First remove the front wheel assembly from the pushchair by pressing in the two buttons on the sides and pulling it out.

Now look more closely at the assembly - on one side, just where it bends at an angle you will find a small hole, a couple of millimetres across. Take a small screwdriver or some other thin object and push it into the hole a little way, which presses a metal catch inwards, releasing the swivel assembly. While continuing to push this in pull the swivel assembly apart - grasp the wheels in one hand and the L-shaped plastic housing in the other and pull them apart.

Now clean all the surfaces with a piece of strong cloth.

When all the surfaces are very clean, take a can of TEFLON SPRAY and spray it onto all surfaces that rub against each other, before reassembling the wheel unit. Silicon grease is a cheaper alternative, but the teflon spray is supposed to be the best for lubricating all moving parts on the Buzz. Whatever you do, don't use WD40.

Hope this helps! Dan.
