SOURCE: unable to join game session
after endless hours of trying to play online we finally found out what the problem was -
check your discs you should have a serial on there if one ends in uk & the other ends in uk then you should be able to play together
if one ends i unk & the other ends in us then this is why you cnanot join or you cannot connect to host
This is the FIX
create another user then create another playstaion account now you both need to creathe this in unites states with another mail account - fill out the address in florida californail post code 90210 - once this is done youshould then be able to join up in the call of duty lobby but unfortunatley your stats are afresh

Do you use a firewall?
If yes, have you tried it while your firewalls are deactivated (on both computers)? If it works with the deactivated firewall, find out whether the firewall prevents the application from using the network (unlikely) or whether it prevents specific ports from being used.
Without any applications running, start a cmd window.
Type "netstat -a" (without the quotes).
Now start Warcraft and create a new LAN game (server).
Start a second cmd window, type "netstat -a".
The new server should now be visible as one or more "LISTENING" entries.
If not, Warcraft may not be working properly.
You may also have to create you game in a different way from when you create a game for the internet.

probably needs a new lens. can send it in for warranty or replace yourself. i have same issue right now and am going to replace it myself. the only other cause of the problem would be the blu-ray drive board but am not exactly sure on this. still researching the drive board problems. go to http://www.edepot.com/playstation3.html and look up blu ray lens towards the bottom.
SOURCE: Shows Open when closed and vice versa. Tries to
The tray orientation may have gotten messed up. Try opening the player and then unplugging it, closing the tray with the unit powered off and then turning it back on.
Testimonial: "took care of the open and close orientation. Disk won't play. Says disk error on every disk."
