The ice maker on my Kitchenaid KBF320EVMS4 french door refrigerator stopped working. The drinking water works fine and I can hear the noise when the ice maker fills with water but no water comes in.

I've moved the on/off lever up and down and made certain the ice tray is OK. The drinking water is located on the inside left wall of the refrigerator and like I mentioned, the water comes out of there fine. The ice maker isn't filling even though I can hear the motor running like it did when it was working fine. Thank you

You can pop the cover off of the ice maker,on the module you'll see some letters,if you get a jumper wire and stick it into the T and H the ice maker should start to spin,if it doesn't the ice maker is bad, then remove the wire and stick it into the V and L,water should start to fill the ice maker,if it doesn't most likely you have a bad water valve, just get a piece of wire, strip off both ends to make a jumper wire.one more thing, check the fill cup and the fill line to see if there's any ice in there,if the water valve is bad water can drip through and freeze in the cup or fill line stopping the water from entering the ice maker,if there is melt it out with a hair dryer, also if you have to get in there with a hair dryer be careful with the heat on any plastic parts, you can damage it and don't heat the fuse on the ice maker wires,it's a black fuse built into the harness you can damage it if it gets to hot.you can go here to see your parts

SOURCE: icemaker does not work

Remove the white cover in front of the ice maker by pulling straight toward you. There is a white gear made of plastic that might broke off, you probably have to replace motor module assembly. My Roper ice maker quit making ice and found the problem, I'm shopping for cheaper part replacement which is being secured by 3 screws.

SOURCE: Ice Maker problem

Apparently lowering the temperature by 5 degrees in the freezer compartment will keep the input water tube from freezing. It is working fine now!

SOURCE: Ice maker is not working anymore. Water doesn't fill the tub. Water dispenser out of the door is still working

I need you to double check the model number. Maytag has a service library at this link. http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/html/index.html
By placing the first 3 letters in the search feature it will take you to models like yours. Chose the correct model that you have and enter the number in the search. I believe that the water control valve on back of your refrigerator is the problem. Maytag is very good about helping their customers. Let me know if you have problems gettting the information you need, Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Ice Maker Overfills With Water

Ice maker has adjustment on right side of power head. If ice maker is inside on upper left, you can remove white cover from it and the adjusting screw in on right. Turning counter-clockwise will decrease fill by 1/2 to 3/4 of ounce. Sounds like a small amount, but ice make only uses 4 ounces per fill. If this does not fix, try replacing fill valve. If ice maker ice bin is in the freezer door, you have to remove cover to ice maker in the top of freezer. Ice maker is screwed into top of freezer and need to be removed to take off cover to adjuster screw. same procedure for reducing water flow time as above.

SOURCE: Ice maker works, fills door but doesn't come out

You have a bad dispensor flap solenoid . Frost due to flap not closing completely and ice will catch in the shoot .

Water Dispenser on GE Profile Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Not Working

When you press the water dispenser button, do you hear a noise like water is trying to come as usual. If so then your problem might be frozen chill water tank or failed chill water valve. If you don't hear the regular noise then the problem might be with the dispenser unit.

NO ICE OR WATER

Whenever the water lingers inside the freezer, it freezes. If the valve has a slow leak, or the final outlet tube is scratched, ice can build up and eventually block entry.

A hair drier on the area where water enters the freezer might clear up the problem. I'm not sure that's a prescribed method to melt the ice though. Defrosting the freezer could thaw it out, but where do you put the frozen items?

My Samsung RF265ABWP French door refrigerator has suddenly stopped making ice. I hear the old familiar noise it used to make just before I heard the ice drop in the bucket, only no ice drops. It sounds...

Is it getting water? If not, Most likely water valve is faulty and not letting water through, or feed tube through back freezer wall to ice maker is frozen which would be caused by dripping valve. It's either the valve or the ice maker not sending voltage to valve.

Water dispenser stopped working

check to ensure the valve to the water supply is fully open, if so you may have a restriction (plugged) line or valve, this could be due to minerals or biological growth. if possible roll the fridge from it's location to access the rear where the water supply is connected, turn the brass fitting left to loosen to see if water begins to seep out, this confirms a water supply is available and the issue is likely a solenoid valve. My hunch is being neither are working at the same time the water supply is not available.
