If the company is no longer in business, then it is highly unlikely you are going to get any support for this TV. I can only suggest that you contact the current owners and ask them if they still support older models and have the firmware available. You might get lucky.

Have you tired the RCA web site, as that is the best place to find a firmware update for an RCA TV.

My rca tv model number LED32B30RQ wont turn on without unplugging it for hours and continuously retrying to turn it on. it seems to take longer each time it gets accidentally shut off.

Make sure there no bulging caps on Power Supply. If not try this. On Plug Connector 401 on Power Supply Board. Cut Pin 3 From Bottom.

If you have sound and no video, try connecting the TV to your DVD player to see if it shows a pitcher, if not, or if it does the problem is more likely to be your T-Con Board. Get one at shop Jimmy.com

Your probably out of luck. once the warranty period is over you pay for any repairs. You can contact an authorized RCA servicer in your area. They will know of any recalls.

This is the common problem with this model of RCA TV, the problem is not defective LED strips, but the power supply.

You may purchase a power supply on the net, but you can't guaranty that it is a good one.

This is the trick to make this TV work:

On the power supply, locate the R410 100K resister, solder a 220K/0.125W resistor in parallel with it, this will race up the oscillation frequency of the back light power supply circuit & make the voltage stable.

It is not a proper service procedure, but it works for us.

New LED tv will not pick up digital channels

Refer its user manual, and make sure that the TV can receive digital transmissions. Refer its specification page. If it says, yes, and the TV doesn't receive any digital channels, contact the authorized service center. Its digital tuner is likely to be faulty. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Failed Firmware Update

You have learned a painful lesson the hard way - never do an upgrade or firmware upgrade unless it is absolutely necessary to do so. Often, the procedure fails and you are left with a nice paper weight. Bet you that you did not save the original firmware (or were not given the chance to do so). If you cannot get it from manufacturer you are SOL. But you have learned, haven't you? Good luck with RCA.
