SOURCE: Threading the Bobbin

Place the bobbin in the bobbin case making sure the thread feeds clockwise. Draw the thread through the slot on the case. Continue to draw under the tension spring and through the opening pulling out about 6" of thread. Hold the latch open, position the bobbin case into the suttle and release the latch. THe case should lock into place when the latch is relaeased.

With the top thread, hold out about 5" to the left. While holding on tot he top thread, turn the hand wheel toward you and you should see a loop at the feed dogs. grab the two thread and bring them behind the presser foot.

SOURCE: threading lower bobbin

There are some different bobbin cases for different machines but the one you have is a pretty common one with a finger sticking out on top. If you examine the bobbin case you will see a slot on the side of it and there is another piece of metal screwed onto it. This is the tension they are describing.
To thread it properly, turn the bobbincase upside down and insert the bobbin in the case so you can see it. Place your thumb on top of the bobbin and pull the thread through the slot on the side of the case and under the piece of metal(the lower tension) which I described to you earlier.. When you have done that, remove your thumb from the bobbin and pull on the thread. It should have some tension on it.
Next, placing a thumb or finger on the bobbin to keep it from falling out, turn the bobbin case over.
Keeping the finger sticking up lift the lever on the
front of the case and insert the bobbin and bobbin case onto the spindle inside the hook assembly(The part that is in the bottom of the machine that turns when the hand wheel is turned.) Don't worry about the thread that is sticking out.
Holding the upper thread under the presser foot ,turn the handwheel towards you until the top thread pulls the lower thread to the top. Pull the thread to the left of the machine, insert your fabric, lower the presser foot and begin sewing
One more thing , The finger sticking up on the bobbin case will go into a slot on the ring holding the hook inside the machine.
Hope this solves your problem.
Be sure you thread the upper part properly. It should go through the tension, then the take up lever and then the needle. Tension should be set at around 5

SOURCE: bobbin case on brother sewing machine

Well, from the picture I see that your bobbin is a front load as opposed to a top load.. if you tilt the front panel down, you will see where the bobbin and casing goes. Put the bobbin in the casing with the thread pulling from the right hand side of the casing making sure the thread in guided into the small **** on the top edge of the casing.. On the back of the casing the will be a small tab. Pull that away from the casing and enter the casing in to the opening for the bobbin. It should snap into place when you release the little tab.

After setting the bobbin directions correctly, the bobbin will not thread. I get no movement from the bobbin or thread at all ???

You must redo your threading, something is not right. Are you going by what the book says? If so, then call Brother at 1-877-276-8437 and they will tell you if there is something mechanically wrong with your machine. They will walk you through all of the steps. Good luck

HI, I haven't used the brother 2125 sewing machine for months. There was no stiches coming out after I started it this morning. I tried many times. The motor is fine, threads from up and the bottom are...

Totally rethread your machine and insert a new needle, you may have a bent needle. Your thread may be tangled, and your bobbin may not be inserted right. If, you don't have your manual go to brother-usa.com and download a manual for free. It should answer all of your questions

Drawing up the lower thread

Check the needle to be sure it is installed with the flat side to the back of the sewing machine.

Thread loopy on top

General rule of thumb::
loops on the bottom, problem on the top.
loops on the top, problem on the bottom.

It sounds like your bobbin thread is not thru the little tensioner in the bobbin compartment.

NEEDLE KEEPS COMING UNTHREADED WILL NOT CATCH IN FABRIC

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly and it has the proper tension. Also check the bobbin the thread has to go thru the little lash

Bobbin holder keeps catchin thread

Try re-threading, make sure the presser lifer is up so the tension discs are open and the thread will go into them. It sounds like you may have missed either the upper tension discs or the take up lever.

A drop of oil on the hook wouldn't hurt if you haven't oiled in awhile.

good luck!
