SOURCE: Connect my remote of my bose lifestyle 18 to my samsung 46a 650

Hi, have you tried going to the system settings menu adn program your 3rd party products htrough there? You may try varied IR code settings for your electronics from there and one of those codes should work atleast for your system. There may be some codes you will get to use but does not have all the funcitons so you need to be patient to try them all.

As per the Blue-Ray DVD, the remote code might still not be embedded on the IR controller chip that is installed in your Lifesytle (after you have tried all the codes and still none works). Bose does release regular firmware updates via their user mailer (if you have registered your product online) or you may passby any of the Bose service center and request them to provide you with the update disc specific to your system version (look underneath the DVD player and the bass module they should indicate AV-- and PS-- models).

Glad to be of service...

SOURCE: I have a Bose Lifestyle V30 surround sound system

You need to use the IR emitter that came with the Bose V30 system. Bose employs a proprietary RF frequency remote which communicates to the hidden central control head. You plug in the emitter to the processor unit and run the emitters to the IR 'eye's' of the equipment you want to control. Once all this is done then and only then can you go through the remote codes to control a particular device. The Bose V30 has 2 IR emitters that come with the unit to control 2 devices. You can expand on that buy buying a IR emitter bridge that has several inputs for other devices.

Now when it comes to a DVR I am not so sure the Bose universal remote will work all the playback and FF and record control buttons and a DVD or VCR. I hear there is a new BOSE remote on the market that can do that but I have yet to see it in person or ask a sales rep about it. Sometimes they are non-tech's so its no help : (

I had Bose lifestyle V35, V20 try to link together. Bose link AL8 transmitter will not connect to receiver. both led is light solid green. Please help.

The commands for the Bose link system are actually going through the remote control system. In order to use the system you need not only a set of AL8 sender and receiver, but also a special remote control model RC48S2-40 these model numbers are slightly different for the US and for Europe. In addition you will need to activate the BoseLink connection through the system settings menu and you will need to tell the remote to which system it needs to talk. When you have done all that, there should not be any problem to "connect" the two systems. If this does not work, you may need some specialized help from a Bose specialist who understands this multi room set-up.

Bose link AL8 will not connect with the Lifestyle homewide powered system

Your v35 system needs to be programmed to work with the second zone wireless unit. Read the instruction manual how to do it, or let a Bose dealer set it up for you.

Bad distortion of Bose Lifestyle V35

It may be due to one of the component attached. Detach all the components and test by connecting one by one. Try connecting radio at last.

Not good surround sound Is the bose lifestyle 5 support 5.1 surround sound?

The Bose Lifestyle 5 is not a 5.1 surround sound system. It is a 2.1 sound system, meaning it is stereo with a subwoofer/bass unit. Having two speakers that can be angled in different directions, the Bose Lifestyle 5 employs Bose direct/reflecting technology, providing greater audio presence. Still, it is definitely not a surround sound system.
