My Whirlpool Double Oven rdb305pds14 had a blank display. On this page it was suggested to replace the board, which I did. Now everything works fine except the "oven off" buttons do not work and I can't turn off the oven unless I shut off the breaker. Any suggestions? Thank you very much!
Hi Billion Johnston!
Maybe the ribbon cable from the keyboard to the board is not correctly connected or is rusted in one of its terminals, avoiding making contact only to those tracks that goes to the "Off" button. Removing it, checking and cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol in a cotton swab may help.
Hope you may repair your oven!

I did clean all the contacts before I switched boards. Does the ribbon goes to those buttons. There is an electrical component like a diode or resister that is in-line to a wire that seems to go to where the buttons are positioned. Is it possible that component would be bad? Is it testable with a multi meter? Thank you!
Billion, I don't have a Double Oven myself, so, I cannot test it. If you would be kind enough to take a picture of this component and post it here, maybe we could check what this part really is and advise you more properly.
I turned off the power for a minute as someone suggested, then when I turned it back on I got error codes F5 E1, and E1 F2. Now none of the buttons on the control work.

assuming its a stainless stell oven? if so heres the par tyou need its a membrane switch( your cancel button ceased to operate corrrect???not a bad part to install you need to remove a few screws from under control panel itself( perhaps a few on the sides, the front control will lift off and this part is installed from behind the control panel (SHUT THE BREAKER(S))
part number 9756595ES
in the mean time instead of shuttin off the breaker toreset you can simply( requires reading manual ) set your oven to time bake. it will shut off automatically after predetermined time has been obtained.

I just had a repair company replace the display, control board and wiring harness on SCD272 double oven to correct a dim display (kit part # 492071). Instructions on kit say that all three pieces must be used together for proper operation.
