I have a Sinotec STL 40E 6000M TV it has 3 HDMI Inputs are any of them HDMI2 compliant and if so which ones

It souunds like te TV is having problems with the streaming data being applied Most plasmas with DVI connections were actually designed for PC type input signals Unfortunately the TV's input may not be able to stand up to the stream of signal the DVD or cable box wants to display. You can try and lower the output of both devices to 720P Good luck to you

Try plugging hdmi cable into hdmi 1 on your TV, then open the menu on TV and find the place it lets you to make selections on this, such as Satellite or hdmi 1. One of these selections have to work.
---------
does the hdmi port gets detected when you try in other hdmi ports.if not getting detected then it can also be fault in the hdmi ports.because as you said that hdmi port number 1 works.that means wires are proper.but other hdmi ports not working that means the ports are faulty if all the setting are proper in setup.
as the ports are soldered to the unit internally.if the soldering gets loose the connection will not get complete.so re-soldering is required to the loose ports.
if you are not familiar with doing this you can get it done by local repair technician familiar with this model .

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Hello Terry,
I have the exact same problem that you described. I have tried 3 different HDMI cables. I connected my laptop to another LCD TV and didn't have the issue with that TV. It seems to be something related to the Phillips TV but I am still figuring this out.
Have you solved the issue with the HDMI to HDMI cable from the PC to the TV? My TV is the exact same as yours.
