My phone keeps asking me to give access to location an when i do i get a pop up saying screen overlay detected before you can chaqnge this permission I have to turn off screen overlay in settings apps

If you already already enable the permission of the apps that keeps screen overly appeared. Uninstall the third party apps that always pop up or appear in your notification bar. That way you can turn off screen overly.

1. From your home page go to Main Settings by pulling down the Notification Bar and clicking on the Settings icon at the top right of the screen. (it's gear shaped)
2. Scroll down the Settings menu, and click on Applications under the Phone section about two thirds down the page.
3. At the top of this new menu click on "Applications Manager".
4. In the top right corner of the Applications Manager menu click on "More"
5. Now a click on "Draw over Other Applications"
6. Scroll down this menu and find the offending application, in this example "Facebook"
7. Click on the button to the right of your offending application to deselect it.
8. Close out of the Settings menus.

NOTE: Alternately, deselect all the applications under step 8 except those you know pop up over other applications such as messaging, for example.

Step one: "Screen overlay detected" fix

Find you what apps have permission to draw over the screen. On a non-Samsung smartphone, follow these steps:

• Open the Settings
• Tap the magnifying glass at the top right
• Enter the search term "draw"
• Tap Draw over other apps
• Alternative route: Apps> [gear icon]> Draw over other apps

For Samsung users:

• Open the Settings
• Then Applications > Application manager
• Press on More > Apps that can appear on top

Step two

You will find yourself in front of a list of apps that have permission to use floating buttons or other screen overlays. Now you need to identify the problem app and temporarily deny it permission to draw over the screen. Here is are some pointers on how to identify the app that's causing trouble:

• Do you see an app bubble on your screen? If do, this app is almost certainly the cause. Either you hide the app bubble or disable the app in the list
• Do you have an app installed that changes the colors on the display or adjusts the brightness?
• Reportedly, Clean Master can be a trouble maker. If you see Clean Master in the list, disable it
• If there's no obvious cause, disable everything

Step three

Now you can try launching the app again, and it should request permissions without the "Display overlay detected" error getting in the way.
For Samsung users: We have also received a report that suggests the one-handed keyboard setting could be the root cause. Deactivate it by going to Settings> Advanced features > One-handed operation.

Step four: reactivate screen overlays

In order for the app(s) that you have disabled in step two to work again, you need to re-enable its overlay permissions. If you turned off all apps, it might be worth considering only reactivating those apps that you actually use.
This is a rather inelegant workaround, but it's the best we have until Google makes the necessary changes to prevent app overlays from interfering with permission dialogues.

Make sure you allow the site to access your location. Usually a pop up will ask permission if it set. On your phone, make sure location services are on and that the Walmart app has permission to access your location.

FileExplorer is a program for managing files on the phone and memory card.

Current features include hiding/unhiding of folders and files, password protected access to the program and copying and moving files.

IMPORTANT Settings before running FileExplorer:

After FileExplorer has been installed you'll need to configure the Access Permissions to allow FileExplorer to access the phone local file system and the internet. How this is done depends on your phone. Please read the below section for instructions for your phone type.

Configuring Access Permissions for FileExplorer

Sony Ericsson phones:

Go to either Applications or Games (depending on where you installed FileExplorer). Highlight FileExplorer, but instead of opening it, press More->Permissions.

Select Read User Data and set the access permissions to "Ask once" or "Ask Always". Select Write User Data and set the access permissions to "Ask once" or "Ask Always".

Nokia Series 60 phones:

Go to Tools > Manager > FileExplorer > Options > Suite settings

What's new in this release:

· Shows hidden files and folders with separate icons than the normal ones.
· Improved the support for Sony Ericsson phones. Should work but haven't tested though. Do send feedback
· Added support for zip files and nokia themes but it's under work and will not work.
· Changed the UI a bit adding a shortcut to jump directly to a path
· Added a torch with different colors. The flashlight doesn't work yet.
· Added Nokia Theme creator UI. Still under development.
· Support for zipping files and upzipping them. Working on them. To get torch which remains ON permanently press the UP arrow which changes the brightness level.
