Depending on what you are trying to reset. Most Rheem outdoor condenser units have a red reset button located near the copper refrigerant lines. This button is used to reset the high pressure switch. This switch is a safety for the compressor which protects it from running high head pressure, in case of a condenser fan failure, restriction is the discharge refrigerant line / condenser coil, etc. More information like a model number, serial number, is the unit not coming on, etc.

SOURCE: RHEEM HIGH EFFICIENT FURNACE-BACKDRAFT SHUTTING IT DOWN

Build some kind of barrier outside so the wind doesn't hit the vent. A piece of plywood before it or a big box around the vent. There is a pressure switch that the wind is messing with. It is a safety and necessary for the furnace to run properly.

SOURCE: Rheem heat pump, have to keep pushing red reset button for fan

Either the fan motor is going out OR the compressor may need a boost of power from a quick start.

When the compressor gets old, sometimes it requires a little extra power to get it going.

Your unit should be under work warranty if they installed it.

Check the circuit breaker(s) for the outdoor unit. Then set the thermostat to make the unit come on and see if the contactor pulls in. If it doesn't turn the fan switch from auto to on and see if the indoor fan comes on. If not your transformer could be shot. If the contactor pulled in on the outside unit check the capacitor for the fan and compressor.

SOURCE: I have a Rheem Heat

Dear Friend!

Due to very low ambient temp, the fan will not run. Once the pressure build up, it's automatically run for some time and again cut off. But if you keep Heat mode and still tem not raised in your room means the reversable valve not working and hence the compressor and out side fan also will not work. Keep "Heat" mode and temp setting +29 to get better heat. Hope is it helpful?

Rheem RAKB-018-JAZ Air Conditioner Condensing Unit. Where is the reset button on Model: RAKB-018JAZ for the outside condenser please.

Question edited for a lot more clarity.

First try disconnecting from mains power for two hours, or even better overnight. This resets the control board and when you switch back on it will go through a self test procedure.

How do I restart my Rheem 13AJN48A01 outside unit ?

1) Raise the temperature on your thermostat to 80-degrees Fahrenheit. This prevents the unit from turning on while you are resetting the compressor.

2) Find the red rubber boot that covers the rest button on the back of the air conditioner case. The reset button is near the copper lines at the bottom of the case.

3) Press the reset button once with your finger. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature. This usually restarts the Rheem air conditioner. If this does not work, call a Rheem professional to service the unit. Power surges sometimes destroys capacitors in the unit requiring a professional to replace.

Where would the reset switch be located on a goodman ac unit

There shouldn't be a reset switch. The only units I've ever seen or heard of having a reset switch were old Rheem condenser, they had a high pressure switch that you could reset by pressing a red plastic button, but even Rheems no longer have them and I've never heard of Goodman using them.

What problem are you having with your A/C system? And why are you looking for a reset for it? Please repost your question and give us a bit more info so that we may help you with your probelm.

Where do I find the reset button for the RHEEM 13 seer

If it is a condenser or outdoor unit heatpump you will have to take the cover off of the compressor section. There should be a high pressure reset that may be a manual reset located on the smaller copper line that leads to the compressor. If it is not here, some Rheem units locate the high pressure switch on the outside of the unit near the copper lines are welded to the unit. It will be just a button to push in.
