Washing Machine We have a Kenmore Elite washing machine about 14 years old. Just recently noticed that clothing that's been washed comes out with numerous snags all throughout the garment.

Any idea what could be causing this?

It is the wash tub most likely. It usually will have rust build up over time if it is an older model. You can replace it or have it replaced to stop this from happening.Eventually it will shred the garments if it is not replaced.Sometimes you can buy a new one cheaper than replacing the tub.

SOURCE: got my key washed in the washing machine can you help?

The best solution is this. Open the remote take the batteries out. You then pop the two sides off, or if you have the screw type you can do it that way. once you have it open, then all you have to do it USE alcohol to clean the board with a old toothbrush. use a hair dryer to dry it out and let it sit near a fan or sunlight for about 1-2 hours, someplace the air flows. snap it back together a nd presto, you dont need to replace it. I did the same thing 2 months ago, and I deal with electrical items every single day.. the most important thing is to rinse it with Clean water distilled prefered to make sure there is no pesty chemicals from the city water. thats what messes it up!!!!.. good luck

SOURCE: My washing machine basin on a Whirlpool top has come loose.

Hello, down the center of the agitator there is a nut. You need a very long socket shaft to get to it, tighten this and it shold solve your problem. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: just had sears deliver kenmore top loading washing

Hello. Chances are it is not level. There are leveling pads at floor level at all four corners. You can level it yourself or [what I recommend] call the store and complain. You paid for delivery and setup and they did an unacceptable job of it. Insist that they come back and do it correctly.

Is it easy to replace the belt on the Eziset 550? Do I just have to loosen one of the pulleys?

  1. Unplug the washing machine and turn off the water supply.
  2. Remove the back panel of the washing machine.
  3. Locate the drive belt around the drum and motor pulleys.
  4. Loosen the motor mounting bolts and adjust the motor position to relieve tension on the belt.
  5. Remove the old belt from the pulleys.
  6. Install the new belt on the pulleys, making sure it is properly aligned.
  7. Adjust the motor position to tension the belt.
  8. Tighten the motor mounting bolts.
  9. Reinstall the back panel.
  10. Plug in the washing machine and turn on the water supply.
Note that the specific steps may vary slightly depending on the model of the Eziset 550 washing machine. It's always a good idea to consult the manufacturer's instruction

My washing machine keeps on cutting off.

Hello
If your washing machine is cutting off after only running for a few seconds, it could be due to a few different issues:
  1. Overloading: If you have too many clothes in the drum, it can put too much strain on the motor and cause it to shut off. Remove some clothes and try again.
  2. Clogged pump: If there is an object stuck in the pump or the pump filter is clogged, it can cause the machine to shut off. Clean the pump and filter to see if this resolves the issue.
  3. Overheating: If the motor is overheating, it will shut off to protect itself. Wait for the motor to cool down and then try again.
  4. Malfunctioning motor control board: If the motor control board is damaged, it may cause the machine to shut off. Have a professional diagnose and repair the issue.
If you're hearing a slipping noise from the belt, it could indicate that the belt is loose or worn and needs to be replaced. This can also cause the machine to shut off if the belt is slipping too much. If you're not familiar with repairing washing machines, I would recommend contacting a professional for assistance.

We have a Kenmore Elite washing machine (about 14 years old) and just recently I noticed that clothing that's been washed has multiple snags throughout the garment (all types of fabrics).

Look for something like a screw either stuck in the little holes or one of the screws next to the lint filter in the front. Most likely you’ve got something stuck in one little holes in it snag saying says it tumbles would be my thought. A way to check is take a rag put a glove on your hands so you won’t get cut and rub around inside to see if you feel the rag snag. Hope this helps

Beko A+A class 1300 rpm why aint myclothes smelling fresh

You are exceeding the maximum capacity of clothes that the machine can handle. Thus they cannot move about properly to clean your clothes. Another issue may be not putting enough laundry detergent into the washing machine.

Magtag dryer is making a knocking noise...still dries the clothes well

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

Wiring Diagram for washing machine

Hello, On the American made appliances, the custom is to paste a wiring diagram inside the panels of the washing machine. They figure you need to remove the panels to service the parts and the Diagram will be waiting for you when you pop the panel off. Can't say what a foreign brand does.

Being foreign-made eliminates the help you can usually get at a Library which have books about Appliances. If you do a Web search entering exactly what you have as a Model and Make, then you may get a hit.

Now some of the sites gave me detailed Diagrams for my 30 Year old Maytag dryer which allowed me to replace my gas Solenoids and to know the exact name for the part.

Servall is a Franchised International appliance parts supplier. They have been in business for over 50 Years and if you do not have a local store they are online. They will ship and probably should be your first stop. Once you have the Diagrams you will need to go somewhere for parts.
