No there isn't, the oil that's leaking out is the liquid that makes up part of the grease that's in your gearbox. Grease is solids and oil combined, over time the mixture breaks down and releases the oil. A proper fix if you wish to do it is to dismantle the machine, clean out the old grease and replace it with new. The oil that's leaking is harmless as it is special food grade grease in there. If you choose to replace the grease you should be buying and using KitchenAid food grade grease. A KitchenAid service agent will have the grease and be able to do the job for you.
SOURCE: how do I add oil to my kitchenaid stand mixer?
if the oil is black or dark green this is the transmission grease. There is plenty in the case don't worry. You may have a cracked transmission case or a bad gassket. I think the most likely thing is a loose screw or two. Take the trim band off, 1 screw. Then take the 4 screws that hold the cover on. You can now lift the top and take a look for the sourse of the leak

Jan, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustrations with the oil leaking. It is normal over time, if not used on a regular basis that some oil can settle and separate causing it to leak out. Unless the mixer has lost a fairly large amount of oil (¼ cup or more) this is most likely not a concern. Turn the unit on to speed 10 and let the unit run for 2 minutes. At the end of 2 minutes, turn off the mixer and wipe any excess oil from around the planetary action. If the mixer isn’t used on a weekly basis, run the mixer at least once a week to keep the grease and oil incorporated together. If this does not resolve the concern, or the oil leakage worsens please email us at [email protected] with a copy of the review, your name, address, a phone number, model and serial number, and date of purchase. We look forward to your reply. Thank you, KitchenAid® Social Media Relations
